Chapter Thirty-seven: Another day to strike

The ballroom was filled with disorder and calamity everyone running around to save themselves, except him. He stood still with the cup of wine he had in his hand, beaming in excitement, with no fear, no shaking.

"What are you doing? Where are your guards?" Edward questioned, uptight about his cousin's lack of action.

They haven't talked since he arrived, but he couldn't help but be worried. There was no fear in him neither was he calling on his guard, instead his eyes were on the door, waiting for something.

At that moment Edward finally understand, the first person to leave the party was the prince together with Freya and some guards, without wasting time.

The prince left like he was already aware and prepared, at first he didn't find it suspicious. During a time of crisis, the most important person is the royal family.
