War.
The sound of gunfire and bombs.
The screams of terrified people.
I was used to these occurrences.
What I wanted was to have one more day to live.
I fought for this.
I gave up part of my humanity for this.
I know it can be hard to do that.
But one thing I always told myself was that.
The winners are the ones who survive in the end.
My story started simple.
Son of good-hearted people.
People who only saw the good side of the world,
people that I thought the world didn't deserve them.
My parents were those doctors you hear that went on a mission to save people in Africa.
They once took me with them.
To their last mission.
I was too young to understand the malice that exists in the hearts of human beings.
I was too young to understand the malice that was in my heart.
But that day marked the beginning of my growth.
It was a normal day for the couple Marcos Walker and Elena Walker.
They had been married for 15 years.
But they still had the same flame of passion as the day they declared their love for each other.
The same as the day they got married.
And the day they had their son Gabriel Walker.
After 3 years of marriage they had their son.
I was a strange child, so to speak.
I didn't like to be around other children, but I liked to study history.
I didn't behave like children my age.
I liked more advanced subjects.
I liked to be advanced.
I didn't have any friends, and I really didn't need any.
I never felt loneliness until that day.
But I also understood the naivety of my parents that day.
They were blind and no one could help them.
I didn't even realize it until that day.
I thought of them as heroes.
But when you live long enough, you understand that heroes don't exist.
Acts of altruism are always motivated by something.
And I think they were motivated by the feeling of being indispensable to the world.
But to tell you the truth.
They
Only
Deceived
Themselves
They told themselves lies believing they were doing good for the world.
But to tell the truth.
They.
No.
They needed to.
If they didn't have that heroism.
They would still be alive.
But I think what kept their love.
Was the heroism that they felt by helping others.

Country:Sudan
Day:20
Month:September
Year:2009
Place:Duk-Padiet village
(Author's note: this attack actually took place I am just adding the MC's parents)
It was a normal day in the life of the Walker couple.
They were going on yet another mission but this time with their son.
They had arrived in Sudan a week ago.
They knew that most people here lived below the poverty line.
But they also knew that they could not change this situation.
What they could do was to offer medical help to the people with the help of the WHO
World Health Organization.
They were on their way to the village Duk-Padiet.
When they were stopped by some armed people.
They were close to the village Duk-Padiet.
And so they could see the destruction caused by the men who were in front of them.
The couple sent their son to hide.
But this was something he was already doing.
With a scalpel in his left hand and a pocket knife in his right Gabriel knew that this day would be unforgettable.
The couple got out of the car and the moment they got out of the car they were shot.
They didn't even have time to beg for their lives.
Gabriel heard the sound of gunshots and then the screams of his parents and he knew that they could no longer be among us.
At that moment Gabriel let out a silent tear.
His parents were his only family.
He had no paternal or maternal grandparents, he had no uncles or aunts.
He had no way to return home.
And even if he did it would still be his home?
Would it still be his home?
He knew that was impossible.
He became angry.
Seeing his parents dying and yet being forced to cry softly.
He wanted to vent his emotions and he could only find an opportunity by killing those two men.
The men approached the vehicle carrying their Ak-47s and one carrying an extra gun.
A Glock18.
The one with the extra gun opened the front left door.
Gabriel was behind the front seat of the vehicle.
This is why the armed man did not see that he was there.
When the man got into the vehicle Gabriel wasted no time and stabbed the man in the throat.
Dropping his glock18 the man fell bleeding from his throat out of the car.
Gabriel knowing that the man's partner would shoot the car.
With extreme skill Gabriel took the stabbed man's glock and shot the other man.
And by a stroke of luck he managed to hit the man in the head.
The stabbed man was still alive so Gabriel wasted no time and shot the man 5 times in the chest.
After he noticed that the men were dead he got out of the vehicle only to find his parents dead with shots to the chest.
Gabriel who was now no longer being prevented from crying.
He cried.
The helplessness he felt.
The true loneliness.
He knew he didn't have much chance of surviving alone.
But still he would do anything to survive.
That day Gabriel lost his sense of justice.
His moral compass.
Part of his humanity.
Most of all.
His.
family.
_______________
After that day Gabriel took the guns the men had and left for the capital city of Sudan to find someone who was interested in buying one of them.
He sold one of the ak-47s for $8,000.
He lived for 6 years on this money but he knew it would not last forever.
All these years he had been improving himself.
Getting
stronger
Faster
And more without morals.
He developed malice in his heart.
He didn't care about the feelings of others.
He developed a philosophy for himself.
Only.
the.
best.
survive.
So he trained to become better and after all that he joined a mercenary company.
He saw a lot of money for himself.
Once a renowned name in the mercenary community.
Until he was called to participate in a raid on an ancient tomb.
And from then on you know the story....
