Should I Kick His Ass Or Not?

Austria, August 30th 1796

3:24 PM

Thomas was standing beside the tall boy who Lukas was about to fight. Even though he was rather tall, he didn't seem to have an outstanding muscular build.

Lukas just looked at Elias, the boy who he was going to fight, with a focused expression. He watched him from head to toe.

Elias just raised his brow as he noticed Lukas's action. "What's wrong, you creep?"

Lukas noticed Elias's question and looked at him into the eyes. "Oh, well... nothing," the blonde boy replied.

The tall boy just gritted his teeth and picked the wooden sword beside him. "When are we going to start the fight, Instructor Thomas?!" he asked.

Meanwhile, the students were still trying to scare Lukas.

"Haha! You are so screwed!"

"You will be lucky if you make it out alive, little girl!"

"He's gonna shove that wooden sword up your ass!"

Even though the boys' taunts were not scaring Lukas, they were starting to intrigue him. 'I wonder if I should even gain their respect? I don't think most of them would be very good partners,' the blonde boy thought as he raised his brow.

Thomas chuckled. "We are starting right away," he looked at Lukas. "Hey, boy! Take your sword! The fight is going to start now," the instructor said.

Lukas just nodded his head and picked the wooden sword. 'Oh, I almost forgot how much lighter these swords are. I always used a real sword in the solo swordsmanship trainings I had, so I'm not used to these,' he thought.

Thomas smirked as he looked at Lukas's posture upon fighting Elias. 'He looks confident. I just hope he doesn't get so full of yourself, though. If he does, that might be his doom,' the instructor thought.

Elias, meanwhile, just gritted his teeth. 'He doesn't look scared at all! Damn him!!! I'll make sure he is once this shit is over!' he thought.

Meanwhile, Lukas was having an internal struggle. 'Should I kick his ass or not? I mean, it's not like I would gain something by kicking his ass on the first day. Actually, I could even lose some of the peace I want here, I don't wanna be a celebrity... screw it, I'm gonna kick his ass, I'll find a way to solve that trouble after this,' he thought.

Lukas then sighed and looked fiercely at his opponent in front of him, sending him a shiver down his spine.

Thomas noticed that and just chuckled.

Meanwhile, the crowd was already getting impatient.

"Just get started already!"

"Yeah!!! Is the brat that scared?!"

"Come on! Hurry!"

Thomas just sighed.

'Now that I think about it, this dude might actually be kinda strong, should I be underestimating him this much?' Lukas wondered.

Thomas just clapped his hands very loud for everyone to be silent. "Come on, come on!

Everyone, shut up! Don't make me yell again!" he said.

Lukas raised his brow. 'You are already yelling, though,' he thought.

Soon, the crowd went silent.

"We are all going to start the duel between Elias Von Zahntein and..." Thomas stopped speaking.

Thomas crouched down and whispered in Lukas's ear. "Hey, boy, what's your name?" he asked.

Lukas sighed and whispered his name in Thomas's ear.

Thomas immediately stood back up. "...and Lukas Von Neumann Hügel!" he said.

Some kids in the crowd raised their brow.

"Who? Von Neumann?"

"I have heard that name before!"

"Yes, I guess it is a kinda important noble house in Austria."

"Where does the "Hügel" come from, though?"

"No idea"

Thomas sighed and took off his glove. "When this glove reaches the ground, the battle will start!"

Soon, Thomas dropped the glove and it slowly fluttered to the ground.

Elias was looking at the glove every now and then, however, Lukas, only seemed to be focused on his opponent.

'I'll make him tell me when the glove hit the ground. I guess his pride will make him be the first one to attack anyway. Like this, I can just focus on defending,' Lukas thought.

Soon, the glove touched the ground, in the same second, Elias ran towards Lukas at high speed, making the crowd yell in excitement.

Lukas, meanwhile, was just stopped in the same position. 'I... I can see him, his size doesn't scare me, besides, his movements are weird. They are so... slow,' he thought.

As Elias was about to hit Lukas, the blonde boy easily blocked his blow with his sword.

With that, the tall boy immediately widened his eyes.

Meanwhile, the crowd was rather confused.

"What happened? Did he hit him?"

"No, I guess the little girl defended."

"What?! No way!"

"He must've gotten lucky!"

Lukas frowned. 'His blows are rather weak, too... I guess I can kick his ass very easily, actually. Well, let's get this over with,' he thought.

Lukas used his sword to push Elias away and prepared to hit him.

Meanwhile, Elias couldn't believe what was happening right now. 'H-How can this be?! This brat is insanely strong! What's going on?!'

"Wow! He pushed him away!"

"Yes, unbelievable."

"I guess this Lukas guy might not be that weak, after all."

"Yep, I'm starting to think that, too."

Meanwhile, Thomas only had a wide smirk on his face. 'We apparently have an interesting young fella this year,' he thought.

Lukas immediately dashed towards Elias, making everyone gape at his speed.

Not long after, Lukas was already in front of Elias, the blonde boy then raised his sword in order to land a strong hit on his face.

'N-No! Calm down! He's not that fast! Just block it with your sword!' Elias thought.

As soon as Elias placed his sword in front of his face in order to block Lukas's blow, the blonde boy immediately spun sideways and immediately sneaked to his back, where he jumped high and hit the back of his neck, knocking out the tall boy right away.

When Elias fell on the ground, Lukas was just standing with a calm expression.

The whole crowd went silent, they couldn't believe their eyes.

"I-I can't believe it!"

"N-No way! He beat someone who's three years older than him!"

"I had noticed he was strong when the battle started, but..."

"It was so fast! He didn't even sweat!"

Soon, the whole crowd shouted in excitement once again.

Thomas then laughed out loud and walked closer to Lukas. When Thomas reached the blonde boy, the patted his shoulder.

"Amazing, boy! Had you ever trained before this?!" Thomas asked.

Lukas nodded his head. "Yes, I had," he answered.

Thomas chuckled. "Well, I shall congratulate you," he said.

"Thank you," Lukas replied.

After that, Thomas looked at Elias laying on the ground with a frown.

"Don't worry about him, I went easy on him. He's probably going to wake up in a few seconds," Lukas said.

Thomas widened his eyes. "You went... easy on him?" he asked. After that, he bursted out in laughter. "Wonderful! Boy, you are such a gem!" the instructor said.

"Huh... thank you," Lukas said.

Thomas then walked forward and started yelling. "LISTEN, YOU PUSSIES! I WAS WRONG WHEN I SAID THAT EVERYONE HERE IS A PUSSY!"

He then turned back to Lukas. "THIS BRAT HERE IS NOT A COMPLETE PUSSY! I'D SAY THAT HE'S HALF-PUSSY AND HALF-MAN!!!"

Soon, the whole crowd yelled in agreement.

Lukas was just showing a weirded out expression. 'This dude is kinda obsessed with those words,' he thought.

After laughing out loud, he tapped Lukas's shoulder once again. "Well, boy, you may go back to-"

Thomas was interrupted with Elias waking up, he slowly stood up as he moaned in pain and rubbed the back of his head.

Soon, the tall boy widened his eyes and quickly stood on his feet and grabbed his sword as he pointed it at Lukas.

"Hold up, Elias. This fight is over, already," Thomas said.

Elias immediately widened his eyes. "Wha...? No! I did not lose!" he yelled.

"I feel your pain, dude. Gets easier after the first 20 times, I guess... I'm just supposing it, because it never got easier for me," Lukas said.

Elias just slammed his sword onto the ground. "Shit! I'll defeat you next time, you brat!!!" he said as he walked back to his field.

Soon, the whole crowd was just laughing at the tall boy walking back to his field.

Lukas frowned. 'Why do I not feel sorry for him! Am I getting similar to Thomas and Herman?! ...Oh, God, please, no," he thought.

After that little introduction in the beginning, the class went relatively smoothly. Thomas was just teaching the basics to everyone, including Lukas.

There was a moment where he was even teaching

them how to fall properly. He just kept making the kids fall while they didn't learn to land on the ground properly.

After one monotonous hour of basic training, the break finally arrived.

Lukas just went to sit somewhere alone where he could read a book. He did like personal interaction, the only problem was that there were too many kids, he just liked to be around, at most, 4 of them.

As Lukas was heading to a cooler corner with a shadow, he was called by a group of kids.

"Hey, Lukas," a smiling boy called him.

Lukas just turned to him. "Thank you for helping me with the swings back then. Do you wanna play with us?" he asked.

Lukas immediately shook his head. "No, thank you," he replied.

Everyone there just widened his eyes. They didn't think Lukas would refuse their offer. "O-Okay," the boy said.

Lukas then went to sit on the corner in order to read a book he had brought with him.

After a while, another boy also sat alone, relatively far from the blonde boy, however, Lukas didn't paid much attention to him.

After a while, a group of older kids approached Lukas.

Lukas just ignored them and kept reading the book, which made the boys mad.

One of them gritted his teeth. "Hey, you brat! Don't you see us?!" he asked.

Lukas just looked up at them. "Oh, sorry. Hello," he replied, and then, he kept reading his book.

Soon, the boy gritted his teeth even more and tried to take Lukas's book, however, he couldn't because Lukas's grip was too strong.

After trying for a bit longer, Lukas looked at him with an expression that exerted a lot of pressure on the kid, which immediately made the boy let go of the book.

All the boys also felt Lukas's pressure and decided to walk away from him.

Lukas then sighed and went back to read. 'Uncle Karl was finally useful for something,' he thought.

After a while, Lukas could hear a fight nearby, which made him sigh. 'Can they not be quiet for a second?!' he wondered.

When Lukas looked at where the sound was coming from, he noticed that those boys were beating up the kid who Lukas had seen sitting alone.

Lukas tried to ignore it, but for some reason, he felt some kind of connection with him due to the fact that they were both sitting alone, so, he decided to go to help.

The boy was laying on the ground as he covered his head. Meanwhile, the three other boys were kicking him.

Soon, they were interrupted by an angry, but low voice. "What do you think you are doing?" the voice asked.

When the boys turned to see who asked that question, they saw the same boy who had warded them off a few minutes ago, which made them grit his teeth.

"And what do you have to do with that?" one boy asked.

"Yeah! Get lost! Do you think we are afraid of you?!" another kid asked.

Lukas just sighed and then showed a grin, which made the boys scared. "Let this boy go, or I'll make you scared of me," he said.

Despite hesitant, the boys still decided to fight Lukas. "Fine, then, you brat! You'll regret this!"

Soon, all the boys charged at Lukas

simultaneously as they screamed.

Lukas, on the other hand, just showed a serious expression.

4:11 PM

Not long after, the three boys were laying on the ground with bruises on their faces.

Lukas, on the other hand, was showing a satisfied smile and standing between two of them and stepping on the head of the other one.

"Do you still wanna fight more?" Lukas calmly asked.

"N-No!" one of the boys replied.

"Good... if I ever catch you picking on another kid here, I'll make this humiliation look like child play, so get lost!" Lukas said.

Lukas then stopped stepping on one of the boy's head and all of them ran away from him.

After that, Lukas sighed and looked at the boy who was boy who was being bullied.

"Hey, are ok-" when he looked at the bullied kid, the boy also seemed to be afraid of Lukas, he was crouching as he covered his head with his hands.

"P-Please, don't hurt me!" he pleaded.

Lukas just took a deep breath and walked towards him. "It's okay. I'm not gonna hurt you," he sat beside the boy. "What's your name."

The boy slowly covered his head. He had blue eyes and shoulder-length, brown hair. Somehow, he looked familiar to Lukas.

Lukas raised his brow. 'He's similar to someone I know!'

"M-My name?" the boy asked, he looked down. "My name is Johan. Johan Tonsburg," he said.

Lukas immediately widened his eyes. 'WHAT?! YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!" he thought. 'He's Josef's younger brother?! No, it's gotta be a coincidence!' the blonde boy concluded.

"Huh... is your father Mikel Tonsburg?" Lukas asked.

Johan looked surprised as he looked at Lukas. "Y-Yes, he is!" he said as he nodded his head. "Do you know my father?" the blue-eyed boy asked.

"I just met him once in a formal meeting," Lukas replied. 'I can't believe it! This guy's name was my first word! How can this world be so small?!" he wondered.

Johan hummed for a bit and then spoke up. "And you? What's your name?" he asked.
