Language and Empathy

Prussia, August 3rd 1803

11:06 AM

After Konrad's request, silence perpetuated in the room for quite a while. The three of the adviser looked speechless with the words that had just come from Konrad's mouth.

Christian, who was sitting in the middle of the other two advisers, calmly looked at the both of them, while they did the same to him.

After all those seconds of awkwardness, the silence was finally broken. Christian slowly showed a smile before starting to laugh loudly.

Right after that, both Romer and Adler followed suit. The loud laughters resounded through the whole room for a few moments. Meanwhile, none of the other three people in the meeting stopped showing their serious expression.

Soon, the advisers started calming down, as the laughters finally started fading.
