A Lasting Battle

France, September 4th 1803

Lukas was sitting on a rock while sipping on some water. Nearby, Johan was training, and despite pretending not to, Lukas was watching him.

Soon, Luther showed up and walked towards Lukas.

"Luther..." Lukas said without looking at him. "Need something?" he asked.

Luther shook his head. "Nothing important. I would just like to sit with you," he said before gesturing to the stone, which was big enough for the both of them to sit on. "May I?" the big guy asked.

Lukas shrugged his shoulders. "Go ahead. It's free," he replied.

"Thank you," Luther said before sitting on the rock, beside Lukas.

After that, the both of them stayed in silence for a while. It wasn't like they had much to talk about, or that was what Luther thought.

"You talked to him, right?" Lukas asked.

Luther turned his head to Lukas. "Huh?" he asked, confused.
