Intense Conflict

France, September 21st 1803

3:34 PM

Johan stood in front of the dying soldier. Lucius's words had disturbed him quite a lot. Why did he have to be the one to choose?

Meanwhile, Lucius was starting to get impatient. "What are you doing, Johan?" he asked.

Johan took a deep breath before piercing his sword through the soldier's chest. "...Very well," he said in a melancholic tone.

After that, the French attack seemed to start getting more intense, making Lucius and Johan react immediately.

The both of them turned around and ran to a safer place, closer to their army before sitting behind a rock.

Lucius panted. "That was dangerous, Johan," he said.

Johan panted along with him. "W-Why did I have to be the one to make that decision?" he asked.

"I noticed you were struggling to perform the death blow, so I decided to make it faster," Lucius said. "Out of curiosity, how many people have you killed so far?" he asked.
