Dinner Talk

After those words came out of Lukas's mouth, Lucius stiffened. They were going to talk? No, he didn't want to talk to him about anything! Anything at all!

Lucius clenched his fists. He was completely conflicted. Why was it so hard to say no to Lukas? They have only known each other for a month, and yet... Lukas could get to him like few people could.

Lukas took one step forward. "Lucius. I know you're angry at me for what I've said back on the battlefield, and you're absolutely right about it. I shouldn't have said those words just because something went wrong," he said before shrugging his shoulders. "Things like that happen, and I should just accept it," the blonde boy added.

Lucius stayed in silence for a few seconds. He didn't know what to say.
