Two Possibilities

France, December 20th 1803

Julian and Lukas were still chatting at the fortress. As that happened, the Austrian soldiers didn't break the siege, and kept it strong.

Meanwhile, the French soldiers were already wide awake, watching over the Austrian army in case they did something.

Fernand stepped forward, suddebly showing up among his men. "There's a lot of the noise conaidering how early it is. What's going on?" he asked.

One of the soldiers turned his head to Fernand. "C-Captain," he said. "S-Suddenly, Lukas Vons Neumann showed up and is now talking to the Commander of the siege. We are speculating what it might be," the man added.

Fernand nodded his head in understanding. "It's curious. We are in winter, so the people in the villages are probably struggling to feed themselves," he commented.

The soldiers frowned for a while before one of them suddenly widened his eyes.

"C-Captain. You don't mean that...?" he asked.
