Chapter - 27

The Pingzhai mountains occupied a large piece of land outside Zhicun city and are well known for their Firestone. The Changs, one of the major clans in Zhicun city, owned these mines and lost them to the Zhao clan in a bet.

"Little Xun, it is said that a volcano erupted in this place a long time ago. All the fire stones that were deep underground slowly moved towards the top. AS this city was built, a group of people identified the firestone mine here, and slowly it fell into the hands of Chang clan.". Zhao Hai, Zhao Xun's aunt, spoke.

Before the Zhao clan could move in, they found a lot of destruction around these mines. Numerous entrances have been closed with hastiness, and there were even activities of various explosives denoted inside the mine.

In the fury of losing this resource-rich area, the Chang family intended to destroy this piece of land and make sure that whoever came to mine would have to spend a lot of cleaning up. By Zhao clan's estimates, it could be several months before they could even send labourers to setup. All mining artefacts were in tatters.

"Hold."

Zhao Xun stopped. Through Zhao Hai's senses, she was able to identify a proper path to the core area of the mine.

"Zhao Xun, you are a fortunate fellow."

A cheerful voice spoke in his mind.

"Master, what do you mean? All is seen is destruction."

"Foolish disciple, you may not know, but with my immortal sense, I could see the existence of a cultivation holy land here."

"Master, you mean.."

"Yes, there are traces of Yang stones hidden deep underground here."

Zhao Xun immediately ran towards a tunnel, the voice pointed. Then, using his fist as a weapon, he started punching until the surrounding temperature rose and a few blocks of stone fell down.

Using his sword, he stabbed the stone only to find a bright light emitted.

"Do you see now? It seems there is a fire bead somewhere underground; no one found out till now. Due to the collapse, the cave got unstabilized, and the energy from the bead started to fill this mine."

"How can this be?"

Zhao Hai was puzzled as well. She also noticed Zhao Xun's action and did the same in a different tunnel.

Both Zhao clan members looked at each other in delight.

"Let me tell the..."

Zhao Xun stopped her.

"Aunt, No. We can't tell our people now. Let's act normal and report to Patriarch alone."

Zhao Hai understood. If there were spies in their clan and this is known to other's who know shat kind of problems their family might face.

"Aunt, let's cultivate here for now. Let's not miss this opportunity"

Zhao Xun clenched his fists when he saw the treasured land in front of him.

He murmured, "Young Master Wang, wait for me..."

Some guards heard Su Yun's furious roar and involuntarily gulped in response within the Su Clan premises. It seems like Su Yun was truly enraged this time.

Dong Yu's breath violently rose up and down for a while before he slowly sat down as his fury slightly diminished. He figured that it's likely they had managed to avert a colossal disaster.

"Su Yun, it's all your fault. Didn't you know how to behave with aristocrats?" Su Lingxin berated Su Yun

Upon hearing Su Lingxin's criticism, Su Yun let out a bitter laugh. Then, he abruptly pointed towards himself and said: "Patriarch, don't worry. Su Yun was responsible for this, and Su Yun will resolve this. After that, I will go to Blue Cloud City and challenge Long Chen to get back Yang'er."

"Challenge Long Chen?"

After hearing these words, Su Lingxin and Dong Yu were dazed, as if they were looking at some idiot.

"Patriarch Su, congrats to you. From now on, our family has added a Foundation Realm expert." Su Yun gently smiled.

The whole hall was silent.

"What… ??" Dong Yu had a foolish expression as he gaped at Su Yun.

"Su Yun is now in Foundation Realm." Then, as he looked at the faces of utter doubt, Su Yun had to recite his words.

In the large clan hall, they simultaneously sucked in a puff of cold air. Then, their eyes were instantly glued onto Su Yun. Promptly, Su Lingxin stood up, and in a flash, he appeared in front of Su Yun. With a firm hand, he grabbed onto Su Yun's wrist.

As he grabbed Su Yun's wrist, Su Lingxin could clearly feel traces of foundational realm Qi. It was the mark of a cultivator who has reached this realm.

Observing their reactions, Su Yun could only force a smile. It's just Foundation Realm. In his previous life, even servants at his house were at this stage at a minimum.

"You have just advanced to the Foundation realm; your powers are still unstable. Therefore, during this period, go into seclusion to stabilize the foundation." Su Lingxin said as he patted Su Yun's shoulder.

Su Lingxin smiled gently at Su Yun before he turned around.

When the crucial members of the clan arrived, they saw Su Yun sitting cross-legged, his face tranquil. His position, right next to Patriarch. Typically this is given to the genius of the clan. So why is this boy sitting there?

Next to him was Su Lingxin's brother, Su Qigang, and his son Su Zheng. They had just received the news, and both had hideous faces, especially Su Zheng. His complexion was ashen, and both pair of eyes indistinctly flashed a killing intent.

No one in the Clan Hall spoke a word. The atmosphere was heavy.

Those present understood what happened within the Su Clan a few days ago. Su Yun annoying the Long clan resulted in his fiancee, Dong Yang, being taken as compensation by Miss Huian. So now the entire family has become a joke in Dongnan city.

"I have an announcement." Su Lingxin finally said while his face was expressionless. "From today onwards, I now am retiring from the position of Patriarch and making Su Yun the next Patriarch of my Su clan. All the members here are to support him without question."

As the attendees heard this, each of them was dumbstruck. Ever since the Su clan became the joke of Dongnan city, most hoped that perhaps this meeting was to announce the punishment of Su Yun. But, never did they think that he was rewarded for this !!!!

"Patriarch !!!" at this moment, a cold and furious voice resounded throughout the hall.

Everyone's glare immediately looked toward the person who shouted just now.
