Gone?

The next day, Laras woke up when the dawn call to prayer sounded. Not to perform the prayers that she recently left. But only to run as hard as she could to the bathroom to vomit up her stomach contents.

"Wuekkk!!"

Time and again she tried to get something out of her throat which felt stuck and the stomach contents were getting more and more rebellious to come out. But during those ten minutes, Laras couldn't manage to vomit anything other than a clear liquid that looked like saliva.

"Shh!" Laras also grimaced when a severe headache hit her head. She sat leaning on the closet.

"Laras?!!! You're in there?! Come on out!! I want to take a shower!!" Iwan's screams only made Laras's situation even more chaotic. So with unsteady steps, Laras came out of the bathroom.

Iwan's sour face was the first sight she saw. Instead of going out, Laras went back inside and vomited again. This did not go unnoticed by Iwan.

"What's wrong with you?" He asked when Laras came out with a pale face.

"No, it's okay, Uncle." Iwan's eyes narrowed when Laras left him. A flash of memory of the night where he witnessed Laras being taken by a man to enter a hotel room flashed.

"Don't tell me you're pregnant?" He accused. Made Laras gasped and stopped walking. He didn't dare turn around. She tried his best to restrain her shaking body.

"Uncle, how come you accuse me of being pregnant? It's just a common cold, last night I came home at twelve because of that." Laras was about to walk back to her room. But his arm was held by Iwan. "What?!" Laras immediately brushed the hand away.

"You think I'm senile to forget that you've spent the night in a hotel with a man? And it's not a coincidence if I guess you're pregnant because I've been hearing you vomiting for the past two days. The symptoms are the same as most pregnant people." Laras was not moved by Iwan's words. Even though her eyes looked sharp at her uncle, her lips felt very numb just to refute.

"Silent, will you? I won't tell Yuni this secret, on one condition." Iwan raised his index finger. "You also don't reveal the secret of my affair with Mirna."

"Who wants to tell Aunt? I don't even care about your household." Laras said curtly.

"Yeah, whatever. It's actually good if you don't care. I'm just reminding you, the rest is up to you."

Blam!

The bathroom door was closed tightly causing a thud. Laras just sighed tiredly, feeling not strong with this situation. However, don't let her get depressed or end up sitting in front of a psychiatrist like last year. Because, if that happened, maybe Yuni would send her to a mental hospital because she thought she was crazy.

In the room, there was nothing Laras could do but wait for a phone call from Randi. He hadn't spoken to him at all since last night. Usually, if there was a fight or dispute that made Laras angry, Randi would immediately apologize to Laras. Buy some of Laras' favorite foods so the two can get along again.

But, for some reason Laras felt bad. It's not about her experiencing anxiety or overthinking. However, this concerns Randi's article. She was afraid if her lover did reckless things. Like running away from responsibilities for example?

Ah! Not! Randi wouldn't like that.

Drtt!! Drtt!!

Laras almost jumped on the bed when she heard the phone vibrate. I really hope it's a notification from Randi. But again, Laras had to sigh in disappointment when she found out that it was not Randi who contacted her, but Nindy who asked whether she wanted to go together or not.

"I'll go first." Laras said goodbye to Yuni and Iwan who escorted her to the gate of the house.

"Be careful, okay. Study the right way so you can graduate quickly." Laras was able to dodge when Iwan was about to touch her head. It received a glare response from Iwan.

"Go first, yes, Auntie, Uncle." Nindy said goodbye and kissed Yuni and Iwan's hands in a friendly manner.

When the car driven by Nindy drove by, Laras just leaned back limply while her eyes were staring out the window. Watching the trees move in the wind this morning.

"So tired, you haven't eaten yet, have you?" Nindy asked when the two of them were already in the classroom.

"Eat me already." Laras answered honestly.

This morning, after the vomiting incident, I don't know what demon possessed, Yuni bought her a portion of chicken porridge. She said, in order to recover quickly and be able to return to preparing breakfast for herself, Iwan also.

Tch!

"If the teacher comes, wake me up, okay?" Nindy nodded. She let Laras drown in his dream.

Heartburn came, she immediately got up to go to the toilet in a hurry. After fulfilling her wish, Nindy again walked in a hurry to return to class. Afraid to be late because the lecturer of this morning's class is famous for being fierce. However, there was something that made her stop walking and froze where he was standing now.

"I don't know exactly when, what Randi said, he said he would move to the campus near his grandparents' house. He has also submitted a transfer form to the dean."

"Anjir, he's doing a good job, he's even moved. Then who will replace him at Hima? I can't afford it, Bro."

The two men who spoke, they were Randi's friends in the association. Nindy knew, because she had also joined the organization. But, why did they say Randi would move? Well they mean is Randi Laras lover? Or someone else? But she knew that the two men were in the same division as Randi.

So without hesitation, Nindy approached the two men. "Sorry, where are you talking about Randi, huh?"

One of them frowned. "Well? You're not Nindy's friend Laras? Yes, we mean Randi's girlfriend Laras. Don't you know?" Nindy reflexively shook her head.

"Did he really say when he wanted to move?"

"Now I have submitted the word, but I don't know either."

Nindy was silent before saying goodbye to class. "Oh, I see. Thanks for the info, okay. I'll be right back."

Nindy walked right, almost ahead of the lecturer if she didn't run fast. She immediately sat down and tapped Laras on the shoulder, so that the woman would wake up from her dream. "Wake up, there is already a teacher."

At ten o'clock the lecturer left the room, Laras was already in a hurry to go to the cafeteria before a voice from Nindy stopped his movement. "Why didn't you tell Randi that he wanted to move."

"What?" Laras asked not because she didn't hear Nindy's words, but because she wanted to make sure once again she was afraid that her ears would misunderstand.

"Randi, him friend said that she wanted to transfer to her grandmother's house. How come you didn't tell me?"

Laras looked at the tiles he stepped on in disbelief. A tightness gripped her chest tightly. "Even I just found out now, Nin."
