Parfume and Kebabs

Arriving at the basement of a mall, Laras didn't immediately get out of the car. On the other hand, Panji went straight out. Where she sat, Laras was still pensive thinking about Panji's words. Long sentences that implied a great sense of guilt and fear of accepting rejection. Laras realized that she had gone too far with Panji. Even though they've only known each other for a few days, Laras has shown a lot of bad treatment to Panji.

"Come on down." Panji opened the car door beside Laras.

Slightly surprised by Panji's treatment of him, Laras finally came down as well. They walked side by side to the store of a famous perfume brand. On the way, there was only silence that filled the atmosphere as well as the footsteps that Laras deliberately tightened so that the atmosphere would not be too awkward.

"I want to find a perfume that smells of flowers," said Panji to one of the salespeople.

"What kind of flowers, yes, Sir?"

"Such a sweet flower," answered Panji doubtfully. It seems that he is unable to describe how the perfume smells from his mother.

"Floral blush, Ma'am." Laras interrupted. Making the saleswoman immediately look for the perfume that Laras was referring to.

"Thank you," Panji said sincerely.

Laras didn't answer, instead she walked around the store. Pay attention to the many rows of perfumes with various scents on display. Until her gaze fell on the perfume with the Bellagio Aqua fragrance variant. The perfume that Randi often wears. A distinctive fragrance that you could say only Randi has. Although many of Laras' friends wear it, the scent will be different from Randi's.

"You want to?" Panji's voice broke Laras' thoughts.

"I will. Can I?"

"Okay, just take what you want." Laras nodded. "Ma'am, ask for the Bellagio Aqua, okay?" Laras asked the saleswoman who was explaining perfume to Panji.

"What size do you want, Ma'am?"

"One hundred miles," answered Laras.

A perfume with a glass packaging and a navy colored patch was given to Laras. She took a deep breath of the scent. Imagine that Randi was beside her. Hugging her tightly like the usual days, before the man went somewhere.

"You like men's perfume?" Asked Panji when Laras couldn't stop smelling the perfume she asked for.

"Like." There was a pause before Laras continued hee speech. "It is for you."

Laras' words managed to make Panji a little surprised. "Huh?"

"Yes, I chose this for you. But you pay." She explained.

"Ah, yes. Thank you." Panji took the perfume bottle from Laras hand and returned it to the salesperson. This action was about to get a protest from Laras, but failed when she heard Panji's words.

"I want this variant, four." Laras immediately glared when Panji mentioned the number four. It's nothing, Laras knows that Panji has more than enough budget to buy the perfume. But the problem is, the perfume has a strong aroma that is also durable. No need to spray repeatedly, only once, the aroma can stick until the afternoon. So, if Panji buys that much perfume, maybe it can be used for the next year.

"Why did you buy so many?" Laras asked when Panji received the paper bag containing the four perfumes.

"Make stock." Laras just nodded, she smiled kindly at the sales clerk who gave him a small box that had been wrapped in wrapping paper. "Thank You."

"By the way, do you know who this variant is from? I'm just a male who doesn't understand the smell of perfume." Panji opened his voice when the two of them came out of the perfume store. Walk arbitrarily following the path of Laras steps.

Laras didn't answer, instead she pulled the shirt Panji was wearing. "Buy a kebab first." She said, which of course could not be denied by Panji.

"Two, all spicy." Laras mentioned the order.

"What do you drink, sis?"

"Two sweet iced tea."

Laras pulled back Panji's shirt to follow in his footsteps. Sitting on a kebab shop bench that was still empty of buyers. "Randi."

"Huh?" Of course Panji was confused. Laras had not said anything earlier, but instead she suddenly said the name of the man who had left her in this misery. "What do you mean? Randi why?"

"I know the perfume is from Randi. He used to wear that perfume." Laras explained.

Panji's hopes fell instantly. Even though he had soared because Laras wanted to choose a perfume for him. But as it turned out, the perfume actually reminded him of the Randi.

"Oh, that is good." Panji responded casually. Although inwardly, he grimaced softly.

"How good?"

"Yes, this perfume definitely reminds you of Randi. I will use it often, so you can feel at home with me for a long time."

Laras was a little surprised by Panji's answer. Even so, she just kept a straight face, as if not interested in this conversation. "What is it?!"

Two kebabs and two glasses of sweet iced tea Laras ordered came. "Eat, I ordered for you, but you pay." Laras thrust a plate of kebabs in front of Panji.

Panji himself did not directly touch the wrapper and then shoved the kebab into his mouth, as Laras did. The man chose to stare at the kebab in front of him with a serious look, as if thinking about what ingredients to make this dish.

"Why don't you eat it? You don't like it? If you don't like it, I'll just eat it all." Laras was about to take over Panji's kebab plate, but was restrained by the man. "Uh, don't."

"Why?"

"I like it, I want to eat this." Panji lifted the roll of paper containing the kebabs. Slowly, he took a bite of the kebab. Chewing slowly, and hiding his expression from being stared at by Laras.

"Isn't it delicious?" Panji nodded in response to Laras' question. He was still busy chewing his first bite of the kebab.

"I really like the kebabs at this outlet. Every time we go with Randi, we always make time for ourselves to stop by here." Laras spoke effortlessly. It was as if she was talking to a friend she had just met.

While Panji, he just nodded without saying more. After swallowing the kebab in his mouth with difficulty, Panji immediately drank the sweet iced tea beside him very nimbly. To the extent that Laras winced at the sight.

"Are you really thirsty or what?"

Panji took a deep breath before answering Laras' question. "Yeah, I'm really thirsty. Just a moment, yes, I want to order another drink." Without waiting for Laras' answer, Panji got up from his seat. Walked hastily to the cashier's counter to order another glass of sweet iced tea, with the largest glass size.

"Panji why? It's not too hot here, it's still early." Laras grumbled when she saw Panji receive a large glass filled with iced tea.

"Let's go home, shall we? I have work at the office." Panji took Laras when he sat down in front of the woman again.

"It's Sunday, what are you doing?"

"Yes. You don't want to go home yet?" Asked Panji, with an unpleasant expression on his face.

"I want, but finish the kebab first."

Panji feels like crying.
