Watching And Prepping

Once me, mom, and Tim finish talking to Aunt Edith and Ellen about not only Arya but also the party on Sunday we head out for the night. Before I leave I link my guard to make sure Arya and her pack are still in the house. When I get confirmation they are I link Edith and ask her to send Ellen home now, then we leave. As I drive away slowly I watch Ellen get on her bike and ride home. Once she is inside I drive away.

Once we are back at the pack house I call the head of my elite guard to my office.

"I need an update, have your heard anything? What are they doing in there?"

"I'm sorry Alpha what I have to say is not good news. So all I can tell you is they are making plans to attack someone. I assume it's the new Alpha of her pack. I do know she is pissed at Edith for refusing to help her. She only mentioned the future Luna in passing. They did send a few pack members to the hospital. I got a link from the doctor it's nothing serious just malnutrition. But they are not healing very well. Arya told them they are leaving by the end of the week so they need to start carbo loading to be in top fighting form. She does not care her mate died she just wants her pack lands back."

"Okay we have one hundred and five elite guards so I want a rotating group of six around the house. Watch but don't interfere. Unless they attack this pack in anyway just let them be. I want four guard around the bakery and my mate at all times. Can the men handle a twelve hour shift? They won't have to do anything else till these people leave. I want a total twenty-four men on rotation for this. I don't trust that women or her pack. I want our people to be kept safe. Also warn the border patrols that we might have a pack coming after these people. Let them know to ask questions first. Only attack if they do. I won't hesitate to hand them over in order to keep my pack safe. We have three days before they leave and four days before the pack Christmas party, let's try not to have a bloodbath before then shall we."

"I will take care of all of it Alpha. I will bring you the roster with in an hour so you know who is where."

"Thank you, you can go."

Once my captain left I sat back and thought about my day. I worry about my mate and my aunt because of this crazy Luna. I just hope she and her pack leave without trouble. I won't hesitate to kill them all if they try to harm my people. As I finally calm down there is a knock at my door. It opens after I give the okay. My mom walks in first followed by my captain. He nods to both of us then sits the roster on my desk. He tells mom good bye then nods to me and closes the door. Mom sits down and turns to me.

"Okay my son I have let the entire pack know we are having a Christmas/birthday party Sunday. Your dad and some of the others are at the tree in the square setting up to get it decorated as we speak. I already talked to cap about making a rotating roster so all of the border guards can come to the party. I also informed everyone to make a side dish for the barbeque. Many of them asked if we would have a cake like from the last party. I told them yes. I will let you know I changed the cake orders. I told Edith we needed the four tier cake but we also needed a smaller cake and that Ellen has free control over the cake. I can't wait to see what she does for her own birthday cake. And you might want to ask Tim what he is planning, he has gotten very secretive all the sudden."

"Okay mom everything sounds good. I can't wait to see what she does either. I will also check in with Tim. Mom thanks for all your help I really appreciate everything you and dad have done."

"So what have you learned about Arya? Do we expect trouble?"

"To be honest I'm not sure if we will have trouble. I know she is planning to attack her old pack. She might be after aunt Edith so I put guards around both her and Ellen. And finally they are planning to leave in three days. Right now all we can do is wait and see what happens. I have informed the guards everyone is ready and watching, there is nothing more I can do until she acts out. But I did tell the border patrols that if anyone comes looking for Arya and her pack I will hand them over rather than letting my pack be hurt. She never asked for sanctuary she just asked to stay here until she spoke to her sister."

"That sounds fair to me son. Okay I'm going to go see how your father and the others are doing with the tree. Might I make one last suggestion, go stay with your mate tonight. I don't trust Arya anymore than you or Edith does. Your father and I can watch things here so you can watch things there."

"If your really okay with that I would like to do it."

"Then go son we will see you tomorrow."

After that mom leaves the room and I go pack an overnight bag so I can spend the night protecting my mate.
