Orlando POV.

I know the doctor in front of me, her name is Elizabeth Bates.

Although this was the first time we had met, Amara had mentioned it in front of me numerous times.

Amara really liked the doctor in front of her and praised her every time she was in front of me.

So much so that I couldn't help but start to wonder even though I wasn't really interested in her.

I briefly sized up the young female doctor in front of me.

She was good-looking, with soft and affectionate eyes, a generous and elegant demeanor, and looked less like a doctor and more like a noble lady.

She wasn't quite what I expected, though, mostly because she was too young.

I trust the older doctors more than the younger ones, their experience makes them seem more professional.

Amara hadn't bothered to look at me more than once since this doctor named Elizabeth came in.

"Good, I'm relieved you have someone with you, I'll have the nurse come and let you know later."

She smiled as Amara said goodbye, nodding at me as she left, and I nodded slightly in response.

Overall, I don't think this doctor is exaggerating as much as Amara says he is.

In Amara's telling, Elizabeth seems to be an angel sent to earth by God, dazzling with light.

But in my opinion, although she was much prettier than the average girl, she wasn't as beautiful as an angel.

However, just as Elizabeth left, Amara started shredding again.

"A girl as good as Elizabeth is not only smart, kind, and gentle, but most importantly, a good healer, and I'm comfortable putting myself in her hands."

"I can't believe how hard it would have been here if she hadn't been with me so often during my time in the hospital!"

"Orlando, make sure you thank her for me, okay?"

"Got it, Grandma," I said helplessly.

It's a phrase she's bugged me about a million times.

Amara suddenly sighed heavily, "Hey, I can and do not ask you to find a girlfriend as good as Elizabeth, even half as good as Elizabeth, and I'll be satisfied."

I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.

Why does Amara like this female doctor named Elizabeth so much?

I can't believe I'm asking for a girlfriend according to her standards ...

By noon, Amara had done all her tests.

I sent Amara back to the ward to rest and met Elizabeth at the door as I left the ward.

I gave her a polite nod as a simple greeting, but to my surprise, she came up after me and called out to me just as I was leaving.

"Mr. Grant, please wait!"

I stopped and looked back at her, wondering, "You wanted to see me about something?"

The young female doctor looked a little strange.

She stood in front of me, hesitating for a long time without uttering a full sentence.

Seeing that she couldn't really say anything, I turned impatiently and continued on my way.

The moment I had just turned around, she suddenly grabbed my arm and said anxiously, "Mr. Grant! Please give me five minutes of free statement time, I have something very important to tell you!"

Something important? Could it be about Amara's condition?

I stared at the girl in front of me and forced patience to connect with her, "You talk, I listen."

"Mr. Grant ... This is not the right place for a conversation, let's move to another place." She carefully asked for my opinion.

I looked around, it was a hospital corridor and not only was it crowded it was also very noisy, so I agreed to her suggestion.

I expected her to take me to a doctor's office or something, after all, that was a better place to talk about the condition, but she went straight to the end of the hallway.

Considering that her seeking me out might have something to do with Amara's condition, I followed anyway.

At the end of the hallway, we picked a quiet, open space.

I started earnestly at the girl on the ground in front of me, fearing that she would say something that would overwhelm me like Amara was getting worse or something.

She seemed nervous and had been trying to put as much distance between us as possible since she'd grabbed my arm in the hallway earlier.

However, she was better mentally than I thought she would be, trying desperately to maintain her outward composure even though she was panicking.

"Did you seek me out for In Amara?" I snapped first.

She shook her head violently a few times, "Nothing to do with Mrs. Grant."

I subconsciously raised an eyebrow, "Nothing to do with Amara? Then what do you want with me?"

She took a deep breath and jerked her head up to look at me with determination and bravery in those beautiful eyes.

"Mr. Grant, I would like to make a deal with you." She answered this.

"Oh? A deal? What kind of a deal does Dr. Bates want to make with me?" I pursued in amazement.

Being a businessman, I instinctively became interested in the deal she was talking about.

Elizabeth POV.

I was nervous when I faced Orlando.

This man was staring at me with those falcon-like eyes, making me feel a strong sense of oppression.

But I forced myself to calm down and said as calmly as I could, "Mr. Grant, I want to make a deal with you."

He looked at me in surprise, "Oh? A deal? What kind of a deal does Dr. Bates want to make with me?"

I hesitated and said honestly, "Actually, I heard what you and old Mrs. Grant were talking about in the hospital room this morning."

He lifted his chin slightly, gesturing for me to continue.

I paused for a few seconds but gathered the courage to continue on.

"I've looked into you a bit before coming to you."

"You haven't had a girlfriend or a fiancée so far, while the family has been pushing you to get married, especially old Mrs. Grant."

"Mr. Grant, if you're looking for someone to marry, I wonder if you'd consider me?"

After saying that, I stared straight at the man in front of me. At this point, I badly needed to hear an affirmative answer.

Now, I don't want to marry a scumbag like Jason at all.

But her mother's surgery could not be delayed any longer and had to be raised as soon as possible, otherwise, it would delay her best surgery.

Marrying Orlando was my last chance.

Orlando was incomparable to Jason, both in appearance and financial strength.

Obviously, Orlando is a better choice than Jason the scumbag.

Most importantly, Orlando desperately needs a bride now, and before the end of the year.
