Leaving Empirica

The other side sounded very distraught and complained. "You finally answered! We have just arrived back a couple of days ago and are heading your away as fast as possible. We encountered trouble and need your help."

Alyssia listened for a while and then responded. "How serious is it and what happened exactly? Are you following the vivre card I left you?"

The voice belonged to Medea and she began answering. "It is quite serious and is not within our area of expertise. This kind of thing needs you or Tristan to handle. We were attacked by a strange group that have some weird powers, they called themselves mutants.

We caught their leader and kept him, I know you would want them brought back too since they will be of help in solving this problem. We are running dangerously low on these serums that he calls suppressants and he will not give up the cure. I have it and I have been following it towards your current location."

Alyssia closed her eyes and saw the large amount of experience points that had accumulated and sighed with regret. 'I was going to take a quick trip to see if the rumours were true and if that person is as divine as the rumours but now I will just have to delay it.'

She spoke again before ending the call. "Hurry my way and tell me when you are above. I will come to you."

Alyssia planned to let everyone leave the area and then would return to allow herself to slip into Empirica City using her own abilities and technology.

She would then confirm the rumours about the ruler and would check to see if they had any skills that had been worth purchasing.

If a person was really an immortal or godly existence like the rumours, they would have lived for a very long time and would have accumulated a lot of experiences and skills so long as they did not slack off for most of their long life.

She thought to herself. 'No.. it is not yet time. Even having my presence be detected or showing up in front of them will only cause trouble for the Green Cloaks. They may be jerks that plotted our deaths but they did provide a great challenge for everyone. It is their surroundings that made them that way so I cannot really come to hate them.

It is not all bad and the informationI gathered was not all negative. Everyone is well fed, there is not much sickness, everyone is devoted to one faith and ruler so there is no divide of power, there are no wars and they have a strong power that can enforce their laws or protect the safety of the citizens.

Sure there would be some areas that are very questionable that are related to freedom, isolationism and pushing out those that do not fit in but those things may have reasons I do not know behind them. If I do not know the reasons behind it and their true history then I cannot judge them for it.'

Alyssia was no ruler and did not plan to be one or at least had no plans to become one anytime soon.

There were many examples she could gain knowledge on ruling from but none of those things interested her more than her current pursuits of different types of skills.

She needed to save her points to gain what was needed to save lives rather than prioritise her own needs and wants so that was what she would do.

Empirica interested her greatly but she had already gained more than enough and could always return one day.

There were many samples that could be put to use for a wide range of medicines, poisons, serums and other weaponised plants.

A Devil Fruit was in her possession that was the first one that seemed to be in one place over a very long time so she needed to take some time to study it and to decide on what to do with it afterwards.

Once she had looked into it and had an idea of what type of power it held, Alyssia would then think about who to give it to or if she wished to sell it.

Very rare powers rarely surfaced in the world, especially the more rare versions of the Zoan type.

Alyssia had a strange feeling that it was in fact a Zoan and the reason was very simple.

Most of the Devil Fruits that had appeared around her or her crew were either Paramecia or Zoan types while those that had been encountered were the same.

In order to get a Logia user among those on her crew, Alyssia had to figure out how to make a stable version for herself when even Dr Vegapunk could not make a perfect one or at least by his standards that demanded every detail to be perfect and according to his own vision.

There were so many skills available from Vegapunk that she had barely scratched the surface with what she had bought but it was strange at the same time when Alyssia was purchasing them.

It felt a lot like it was just a small portion of what could be available and that the current Dr Vegapunk that had been in the location where she went to had not heed the real one or he had done something to place pieces of himself somewhere else.

While there were Paramecia and Zoan powers in her crew, Alyssia felt that she and others seemed to have a very high affinity with animals so she had a hunch that the new one she acquired was a Zoan.

It was a little familiar to her who had read the Devil Fruit encyclopaedia related skills from Dr Vegapunk and from the knowledge Black Beard possessed about Devil Fruits so that had caused her to think back on a certain Zoan type that had not been seen for more than five hundred years.

Unfortunately she had no time to compare it and began experimenting with Val and her other little assistant assisting her while she waited.

Archie returned to the MMA with her and continued his job as the helmsman so she had lots of free time until she received a call once again.

Her figure stepped onto the deck of her ship and then she shot up into the sky at a great speed.

Alyssia reached up into the sky until she was above the clouds and searched around until she found an approaching ship flying her way from far away. "Found you."

She wasted no time and shot towards them before landing on the flying ship that was the Ark Maxim. "Hey guys. Tell me about your little adventure later. First show me the problem."

Medea nodded. "I will.. come with me."
