Ripper Mercenaries

She couldn't help but recall her journey and how they had gotten to where they were.

So many lives had been lost ever since they began their journey as the Ripper Mercenaries and a lot of those lives were lost in the pursuit of the Camo Pirates.

The losses did not just start there, they began many years before that when Ripley and Neo Stella were still very young.

Everything seemed peaceful until the Camo Pirates landed on their planet Huon and began hunting the natives of the planet while raiding the various available resources.

If it was not for the fierce combat power and natural senses of their species then it would have been a completely one-sided slaughter.

Their race managed to hold on until another group from space arrived on planet Huon too.

They were mercenaries who were hunting the Camo Pirates and they played a big role in fighting them off and making them leave the planet.

It was from then that Ripley, Neo Stella and several others started to look toward the stars and dreamed about becoming mercenaries.

A part of the reason behind such a dream was for adventure but a lot of it was fueled by the need to get revenge for what the Camo Pirates had done to their people and homeland.

Their tribe were deeply devoted when it came to certain things and it could be said that they would hold a grudge for as long as they remained but the opposite was true too.

If someone treated them especially well or even went as far as to help them out, they would not feel at ease unless they repaid them tenfold or perhaps even more.

If they hated someone then their hatred would be especially deep and they would be unable to forget it until the day they died.

The opposite was true since when they fell in love, they would only love that one person for their entire lives.

They felt things a lot more deeply than some races, some could say that it was something quite special but some parts of it could become quite sad depending on the situation.

Some of their race would be consumed by sorrow and rage unable to forget their hatred while others would be unable to move on from their love after they lost their life partner.

Such intense and strong feelings were not always something that could be endured by every person so it could always lead to a tragic fate if things did not go well in their lives.

The grudge of planet Huon had finally come to an end and they had finally been freed from it.

If they had continued without any intervention then perhaps it might have led to the end of what remained of those from planet Huon as they continued to seek out revenge without the means to achieve it.

Due to the need to repay those mercenaries who offered them aid during such an important time, they did their best to repay them and build relations with each of them.

Those mercenaries were given many things from their planet while they continued to keep relations with them for a long time during their exchanges.

Some adults from the tribes on Planet Huon went as far as to join those mercenaries while some of the younger generation wished to join too one day.

Among those who were unable to join, Ripley and Neo Stella had yet to reach an age where they would be allowed to venture outside of the protection of their tribe.

As time passed by to the time when they would join, the mercenary group had already gone through many changes.

They had suffered many losses, gained a few things and also went through a series of developments as a mercenary group during that time.

Their leader changed several times and so did their way of doing things.

By the time Ripley and Neo Stella joined, they were no longer the same mercenary group that could cause the Camo Pirates to be made to retreat.

It did not take a very long time for them to gain enough experience to rise through the ranks to take over the mercenary group and then transform it into the present Ripper Mercenaries.

Not a lot of the original mercenaries remained but the Ripper Mercenaries had been able to rise and make a name for themselves over the years but they were still very far from being able to contend with the Camo Pirates.

It could be said that without the unique powers that Medea, Bunbun and Ashwin had made use of, it would not have been possible to render the advantages of the Camo Pirates ineffective and to pull off such a tactic.

A lot of battles in space had always been heavily reliant on the technology each group possessed, their numbers and how well they were able to utilize it all.

Some races and individuals could make use of their various advantages to overcome the odds but not all of them could achieve such a feat to be able to overcome such advancements with their bodies alone.

Even a special case like Ripley had her limitations when it came to battling in an environment like the one they were currently in like the current environmental factors of space.

Not even Ripley could be considered a peak lifeform who could transcend such odds.

There were very few who could achieve such feats all on their own and they could either be considered as born that way or had achieved such a feat through constantly training their bodies or unique abilities.

Ripley may have trained and experienced a lot but in the previous fight without assistance, she would have had the limitations of her environment working against her restricting her movements while experiencing other things that could impact her fighting capabilities.

It meant that she would have been worn down over time by the tactics of the enemy whether the wounds would begin to take effect on her as her endurance was eventually broken through or her stamina would be unable to keep her fighting any longer.
