Chapter 94 Party

John walked out of the bathroom and went downstairs holding his katana. John put his katana on a shelf. John looked at his watch and saw that it was 5:55 pm, the party was going to start soon. The doorbell rang, so John went over and opened the door. John saw Demmy standing there in a stunning light green dress.

John said, "You look stunning."

Demmy said, "You look dashing."

They both laughed as John turned off the lights and left the house. John offered his arm to Demmy, who gladly wrapped her arm around his. They then walked down the street, going straight to Deanna's house. The trip was uneventful, but the sky was beautiful. The stars were shining brightly, and the moon was full, visible through the clouds that surround it.

John and Demmy arrived at Deanna's house at 6:05 pm, they were fashionably late. They walked up the steps and John opened the door for Demmy to walk in first, then John followed behind her. They were instantly assaulted by the sound of music and people talking with one another. It was very lively inside the house, and everyone was wearing dressy clothes.

There was some alcohol and cups on the table, many people had a cup of liquor in their hand. John walked over to the table with Demmy and poured her a cup before he poured himself a cup. Deanna saw them walk in and as soon as she finished her conversation, she walked over to them.

Deanna said, "Oh, it's so good to see you. You look very charming in that suit John, and you look very stunning in that dress Demmy."

John and Demmy said at the same time, "Thanks." Deanna then walked away from them, walking over to Reg and standing with him. John was standing with Demmy off to the side talking with her. They also walked around the room and talked to some familiar faces.

John saw the old couple talking with some people, so he walked over to them and said, "How are you, Sir?"

The old man said, "Hey, Sonny! I'm doing great. Thank you for painting that room, you did a fantastic job."

John smiled and said, "No problem."

Demmy asked, "How did you meet Mr. Genkins?"

Mr. Genkins answered for John, "Sonny here helped me up the steps, then he helped me paint one of the rooms."

Demmy said, "Wow! John, you are quite the handyman, huh."

John said, "Mm-hmm, I have done many things since this started."

Demmy said, "You'll have to tell me more about yourself then."

John chuckled and said, "Can't tell you everything, where will I get my mysterious charm."

Mrs. Genkins said, "I think you are plenty charming already, young man."

Demmy nodded and said, "That's right, you don't need the mystery."

John said, "Alright then, I'll tell you, my secrets. But it'll cost you."

Demmy said sadly, "Oh really, too bad." Demmy then made a sad face.

John said, "For you, I'll drop the cost."

Mr. Genkins said, "Alright, stop flirting in front of us." Mrs. Genkins smacked his shoulder before she dragged him off. John and Demmy were then on their own, in the corner of the room sipping booze and talking. John saw Enid standing next to Ron, but she seemed totally uninterested in him. John knew they were boyfriend and girlfriend, but they weren't anymore based on the heated discussion they were having. A couple minutes later Enid walked away from Ron and stood alone in the corner of the room.

Enid looked over at John and he winked at her playfully. John then went back to talking with Demmy, John could still feel Enid's gaze upon him. John could see her rubbing her thighs together discreetly. She was obviously turned on by John's dapper outfit.

John noticed Jessie walk into the house with Sam and an older boy, following behind them was a man. The house was very lively, and people were moving around. Jessie came over with the man and introduced him as her husband, Pete. John shook his hand firmly and then let go.

Pete said, "Good to meet you."

John said, "You as well. So that older boy you came with is Ron, huh?"

Jessie said, "Yeah, I'd have you meet him, but he's in that rebellious stage, so."

John nodded and Demmy said, "Nice to see you, Jessie."

Jessie said, "Yeah, haven't talked to you in quite a while." Pete excused himself to go get a drink.

Jessie asked, "Having fun?"

John said, "This isn't really my scene."

Demmy nodded and said, "I'm having some fun. kind of bored though."

Jessie said, "I'm sorry to hear that. I don't really like these social events either. Still, this place has a pretty amazing view."

John said, "How so?"

Jessie said, "Yeah, take a look. Ordinary life like before. Well, not like before."

John and Demmy said, "No."

Jessie said, "Yeah, no. I mean-- I mean it's better. Not out there, in here. You know everyone has been through it somehow. Everyone. And a lot of things disappeared. But a lot of bullshit went with it."

John nodded and said, "Yeah, like politics. It's like shut the fuck up already."

Jessie and Demmy laughed, then Jessie said, "Exactly. Everyone here are from totally different backgrounds, different places. They never would have even met. And now they're part of each other's lives. They are each other's lives. I'm just saying we all lost things, but we got something back. It isn't enough, but it's something."

They all then looked over at some loud kids, they were fighting about some game. John said, "Yeah, that's a pretty good view."

Sam suddenly came running over and he said, "Mom, there's no more cookies."

Jessie said, "Oh"

John said to Sam, "You know, Sam. I happen to know someone that can make really good cookies. Do you want to plead your case to them?"

Sam nodded and said, "Yeah!"

John said, "Well go on, plead your case to the goddess of cookies, Demmy." John then whispered something in Sam's ear, Sam nodded.

Sam said, "Please, oh cookie goddess, Demmy. Here my plea and bask me in the warm embrace of never-ending cookies."

When John, Demmy, and Jessie heard this, they started laughing, even when tears appeared they couldn't stop. Sam was confused, but then Demmy said in between laughs, "I'll make you some."

Sam was then called away by his brother Ron, who saw his brother's plight. Sam went running over to him and Jessie said, "I'll see you later." She then walked away, once again leaving John and Demmy all by themselves.

John led Demmy to the porch out back, John stood behind her as they looked up at the moon and the stars. John put his hands around her and rested them on top of her hands. John kissed her neck and Demmy turned her head to face him, John then kissed her lips softly. John stayed out there for quite a while hugging Demmy from behind and kissing her gently.

Then they went back inside, only to see Pete drunk out of his mind. Pete was so drunk he fell over onto a table and that pretty much marked the end of the party. John lugged Pete over his shoulder and carried him back home, when they got there, Jessie opened the door for them. John set him down on the couch and started walking for the door.

Jessie walked over and said, "Sorry about that, thank you for carrying him back."

John said, "No problem, see you later." John then walked with Demmy to her house, and they walked inside. They walked into Demmy's bedroom and Demmy instantly removed her dress. She removed her underwear as well before she climbed on the bed and spread her leg. John removed his clothes as well before he joined her in bed. Moans and groans echoing inside the quiet house.
