Chapter 15 The Woman Who Fell in Love at First Sight (10)

In succession, many people entered - the men dressed impeccably, and the women in bright, attractive attire.

In a short while, the whole wine party scene became chaotic, with people mingling and chatting non-stop.

Among them, only two individuals caught Isabel Smith's attention.

One was Henry Maxwell, and the other was Percy Stanton.

Isabel's initial attention was focused entirely on Henry Maxwell.

However, in this world, there exists a certain kind of person who, without uttering a word, can simply appear and attract everyone's gaze.

That person was Percy Stanton.

That evening, Percy was wearing a formal suit, which was different from the casual clothes he usually wore when Isabel saw him. The man looked even more upright and handsome than usual. He was an anomaly at the wine party, arriving alone without any female companion. He walked into the scene with a graceful and imposing demeanor, taking calm and unhurried steps.

His expression was still cold and noble, without any emotion showing. Yet, he effortlessly became the center of attention at the event.

Isabel didn't expect to run into Percy again at the Maxwell Group's wine party. She couldn't help but wonder in her heart: Why had she been bumping into him so frequently lately?

Percy seemed to notice Isabel's gaze. He slowly turned his head, and their eyes met dead-on.

Percy's brows furrowed visibly, a hint of doubt flashing across his eyes. Just then, someone raised a wine glass in greeting to him. Percy immediately shifted his gaze from Isabel's face, engaged in courteous conversation with the approaching individual, touching glasses with a mixture of warmth and reserve.

Isabel shifted her gaze away and scanned through the crowd. She picked up a glass of red wine from the table, stood up, and approached the direction where Mr. Maxwell stood.

"Mr. Maxwell," Isabel called after a man who had just exchanged pleasantries with Mr. Maxwell had departed.

Henry Maxwell looked up and saw Isabel's beautiful face. He hesitated for a moment, then broke into a delighted smile, exclaiming, "Isabel Smith?"

Isabel was grateful that Mr. Maxwell still remembered her name, and she smiled sweetly, "Long time no see, Mr. Maxwell."

"Isabel, long time no see," Mr. Maxwell reined in his excited emotions as he smiled and said, "I really didn't expect to see you here tonight."

Isabel smiled graciously, raising her glass to touch Mr. Maxwell's, and downed the wine in one gulp, just like him.

Afterward, Isabel smiled and got straight to the point: "Actually, Mr. Maxwell, I came here tonight mainly to discuss the possibility of cooperation between the Smith Corporation and your company."

Upon hearing this, Mr. Maxwell's eyes lit up. He looked Isabel up and down, about to speak when suddenly, a cold voice interrupted: "Mr. Maxwell."

Both Mr. Maxwell and Isabel turned their heads to see the impeccably dressed Percy Stanton holding a glass of red wine, standing there with an extraordinary bearing. Just above his head, there was a crystal chandelier, casting a dazzling light on his delicate features, making him appear almost bewitching.

The operational genius Percy Stanton was known by everyone in Bellshire's business circle. Despite his lack of envious family background, he was still treated with utmost respect by business people. So, Mr. Maxwell immediately picked up a glass of red wine from a passing attendant's tray, gently touching it against the glass in Percy's hand, and courteously saying, "Mr. Stanton, it's a pleasure to meet you."

Percy nodded with a smile and then elegantly took a sip from his wine glass.
