Her genuine reaction made Percy Stanton feel a bit relieved, and he couldn't help but soften as well, causing a tender and affectionate atmosphere to rise in the room.

Isabel Smith was no longer in pain, but fatigue took over. Keeping her head up, she struggled on, praying in her heart for Percy to finish quickly and then leave.

After innumerable prayers, Percy grunted and finally stopped.

Only then did Isabel breathe a sigh of relief, her whole body limply collapsing onto the bed, not wanting to move at all.

Percy stayed on top of her for a while before he regained his breath and moved off of her.

This time, Isabel didn't fall into unconsciousness. Sensing his movements, she opened her eyes just in time to see Percy's gaze fall on her feet again. She mustered the strength to hook the quilt and covered herself with it.

Percy's gaze darkened, and he coldly got out of bed, picked up his clothes, and quickly put them on.
