What Isabel Smith had said was a knee-jerk lie, but Percy Stanton took it seriously, putting her in an awkward position. She found herself cornered and in the end, had to reluctantly nod, putting on a stoic face of agreement. She said, nervelessly, "Okay... fine."

A smile tugged at the corner of Percy's lips as he told Isabel to wait for a moment. He headed into the kitchen to tell Auntie Hourly Worker to take care of Raymond Thompson when he woke up. He picked up his wallet and keys before he returned to Isabel, extending an elegant invite, "Miss Smith, let's go."
