Chapter 234: The Poisonous Mango (3)

Isabel Smith's blue skirt billowed out as it spun rapidly. The speed of her movement caused the white rose she held between her lips to shed its petals one by one, scattering them across her blue skirt.

The dance seemed less like a solo performance by two people and more like a grand, lavish feast.

It was not until the music came to a halt that Isabel slowly stopped her final spin. The rose in her mouth released its last petal, which gently floated onto her shoulder.

Then the image froze.

And then, the entire room went quiet.

A minute later, thunderous applause erupted throughout the hall.

Only then did Percy Stanton gently pull Isabel's waist, helping her stand.

They stood face to face on stage, both slightly sweaty and breathing heavily from the exhilarating dance. He looked at her, she looked at him, and neither spoke for a moment. Finally, she simply raised the corners of her lips into a radiant smile.
