Instinctually, Isabel lifted her head and saw, about three meters in front of her, a match being lit—a small, luminous ring that dimmed within a few seconds.

The light of the match was weak, and Isabel hadn't had a chance to clearly see who was standing in front of her.

The house plunged back into total darkness.
