Chapter 407: Overestimating Oneself, Underestimating Love (9)

When Isabel Smith left her house, she was wearing high heels. Due to the cold weather, she was walking rather quickly and somewhat unsteadily. While passing a shoe store, Isabel decided to enter and chose a pair of warm flat shoes, which she put on her feet, and then carried her high heels back home.

Perhaps it was because she knew that Percy Stanton and Raymond Thompson had left, Isabel felt an inexplicable sense of loneliness when she stepped out of the elevator and stood in the corridor on the eighteenth floor.

Isabel stared at the door of Percy's locked room for a while before lowering her head and walking to her own door, opening it and entering her apartment.

Although Isabel was conflicted about whether or not to keep the child, she returned home, tidied up some electronic devices in her bedroom that emitted radiation, stored them in a cabinet, then turned on the air purifier, ate half an apple, drank a cup of milk, and went to bed early, forcing herself to sleep.
