She hastily ran over, peering through the window to see neon lights glowing in the distance. Comforted, she pressed herself against the wall, sitting on the ground, murmuring to the void as if reassuring herself.

Percy Stanton had just fallen asleep when he heard a loud knock on his door. Thinking he was dreaming, he hesitated before realizing someone was really knocking on the door. He recognized a faint, familiar voice. He quickly threw off his quilt, turned on the light, and found his room plunged into darkness. He picked up his mobile phone, put on his bathrobe, and walked out of the living room. At the storage cabinet, he grabbed a flashlight, and rushed to the door.

When Percy opened the door, the light from his flashlight spotted Isabel Smith crouching in front of the corridor window, talking to herself, seemingly oblivious to his presence.
