Raymond Thompson closed his mouth, feeling somewhat wronged. What's wrong with being a kid? Even children have rights.

There was silence in the car for a moment before Percy Stanton, quite out of the blue, spoke gently and softly to Raymond: "Raymond."

In Raymond's memory, it was very rare for Percy to talk to him in this tone. This inexplicably made him nervous as he sat upright in the co-pilot seat, holding his breath and nodding at Percy with a serious expression.

Percy looked at his son's nervous behavior, cursed silently in his heart but put up a smile on his face, and asked, "Raymond, do you really want a mother?"
