Percy Stanton wearily lifted his hand to support his forehead, dropping his eyelids as he rubbed his temple with his thumb. He heard Evelyn Osbert's velvety voice, soft and sweet by his ear, "Mr. Stanton?"

Before Percy could turn to look at Evelyn, his head was embraced by a soft, tender bosom. Her bathrobe was loosely tied, and Percy could see the round, white flesh wrapped in black lace beneath it.

Quickly turning his head away, Percy spoke, not too heavily but with an undeniable force: "Move away."

Evelyn's body stiffened for a moment as she held Percy, her heart fearing his rejection yet refusing to let go, driven by her desire for resurrection in the face of death. Instead, she clung tighter to Percy, rubbing herself against him with a seductive smile, whispering, "No."

A cold, disgusted glint flashed in Percy's eyes, concealed by a calm demeanor. He lightened his tone, asking, "How can we continue with what's next if you keep holding on to me like this?"
