"Don't you dare!" Xander growled.

"Don't you dare blame yourself for going through that inhumane experiment, it was never your fault and will never be your fault Katherine. You were betrayed by someone you trusted, someone you cared for, how can you even think about it being your fault when you are the victim? How can you see yourself as a monster when you are an angel saving the innocents, freeing the captives and destroying the culprits into nothingness."

Xander swiftly picked Katherine up in his arms and then made her sit on the kitchen counter and stood between her legs with his hands wrapped around her tiny waist.

"I will never hate you Katherine, never. Your healing ability and any other abilities that you may have will never faze me or make me look at you as someone bad, even if you were to possess the ability to rip out people's heart with a mare look and use it for your gains I will never see you as a monster. Even if you were to rip out my heart from my chest and claim it as your possession, then I will die happy because my heart belongs to you already, but I will never look at you as a monster."

Xander was staring into the forest green eyes of Katherine, he watched as realization hit her and tears formed in her eyes before it rolled down her soft cheeks. He lifted his hand and slowly, ever so gently, wiped her tears away before he gave her a very warm, comforting and reassuring kiss on her forehead. His lips stayed there for three seconds before he pulled her into his embrace.

Katherine didn't even realize that she was shedding tears until Xander reached out his hand and wiped her tears away. She thought back to the time when she was living like a normal person, even though she was around her family she never ever felt loved or cared for like this, Xander was making her feel like she was the most precious woman in the universe.

His love, his tender gaze, his gentle touches, his adoring kiss and his warm and comforting arms were more than enough to make Katherine feel treasured and loved. She thought she was alone now and had no real family but she was wrong, she had Xander, he was more than enough for her, he was her family and he was her home.

Katherine hugged Xander tightly while sobbing as he continued to gently rub her back. "where have you been all my life?!" she asked as she sniffed and continued to cry on his shoulder while he tried to calm her down. "I'm sorry for coming to you late, but now that I'm here my love, rest assured that I will never leave you. Ever." A small and tender smile rested on Xander's lips, his eyes softened like the finest melted milk chocolate and his entire body hum with determination to protect this tiny woman in his arms.

"Hmmp! You better not even harbor the idea that I would allow you to leave my side, you are mine forever now Xander." Katherine declared, she slowly pulled away from the hug and locked her gaze with his. "Yes my sweet wife, I'm yours forever as you are mine forever and beyond." Even though her eyes were puffy and her cheeks were stained with the tears that she just shed, he still saw as the most beautiful being to ever grace the earth with her existence.

Xander couldn't help himself, he wanted to cherish this moment forever, his heart was soaring with happiness, he placed his hand on her nape and angled her face and then he slowly lowered his head and captured her lips in his.

Xander's heart was about to jump out of his chest because of so much love and adoration for Katherine. "You're making my heart do crazy things my sweet wife." he whispered to himself. A goofy grin rested on his lips, his eyes were gleaming with excitement and he felt giddy inside. He sauntered towards his previous room on the second floor and decided to take a shower there since Katherine was using the one in the master bedroom.
