I Choose You For Eternity

"What date? With who? It's just been two days and some bastard is courting you already?" Harris spat the words like poison as he lost his temper upon hearing that Lilly was going on a date.

Lilly's eyebrows slightly furrowed, but she maintained her calm and professional countenance. "Um.. Anything wrong with me going on a date Mr vice president? Ah! You must be worried about your company's staff safety, i really appreciate it sir, but you don't have to worry about me at all. I'm meeting with my ex boyfriend, although we broke up a year ago due to some misunderstanding, we have decided to put the past behind us. He's a good man and he likes me very much."

Each and every word she said was jabbing mercilessly at his heart, he felt like Lilly was stabbing his poor heart with a very sharp knife. "What ex? What good man? What do you mean he likes you? I love y—" Harris controlled himself before he could confess his feelings out of anger without proper preparation.
