Prologue

The gathered Stellar Squadron members were restless as they had been told to assemble without prior notice or explanation. They were muttering complaints toward their Squadron Leader, who was looking just as dissatisfied as them. He gave his subordinates a black look and said "Listen up ya lil shites, I know just as much the rest of ya, so dun give me any BS. According to the notice, all will be explained in a bit, so get into formation and shut yer pieholes!"

The subordinates looked at their Squadron Leader and did as ordered, not daring to grumble anymore as the Leader was known for his cruel and unusual punishments. After they stood in formation as ordered, they waited under the glaring sun for their next orders. After standing there for about 30 minutes, a big black hover truck sped over at high speed and came to an abrupt stop in front of them and the Stellar Craft they operated.

The doors on the front of the truck opened and several men exited the cabin. The driver also exited the cabin and walked up to the Squadron Leader and greeted him, "Squadron Leader, thank you for assembling on such short notice and I apologise for the inconvenience"

"No problem, just following orders, Sir", the Squadron Leader replied.

"I guess that you and your men are quite curious as to why this notice was passed down, so I'll have the relevant persons come up and explain", with this the Leader signalled two of the men that had exited the cabin.

The two men walked forwards and stood in front of the Squadron, "Everyone, you have been asked to assemble for one very important reason. I'm sure all of you have heard of the secret weapon our Federation has, well your task this time is to assist us in transporting this secret weapon to a Zerg hotspot"

The entire Squadron looked at the man with surprise and suspicion written on their faces.

"I understand that you have some suspicions as to why you have to assist us, I will explain this on the Stellar Craft after we have loaded the weapon", at this he signalled the other man who banged on the outside of the cargo bay of the truck. The doors opened from the inside and several men jumped down, "Reporting, the weapon has been silent the entire ride"

They started unloading a large black metal crate from the cargo bay and manoeuvred it into the cargo bay of the Stellar Craft, locking it into place, "Reporting, the weapon has been secured in the Stellar Craft", after which the men all boarded the hover truck and the truck sped off.

The two men had remained behind and boarded the Stellar Craft, the Squadron Leader looked at them and shouted "Fall in and board the Stellar Craft", his subordinates complied with the order and boarded the Stellar Craft, after which it launched and started its journey towards the Zerg hotspot.

All members of the Squadron as well as the two men were present in the cargo bay of the Stellar Craft and were looking at the crate that was secured there. The leader of the two men turned towards the Squadron Leader and said, "Your Squadron's task is to stare at this crate and report any and all movements or sounds it makes to either me or my companion.

You can call me Mad Scientist and my companion is called Brain. We will be in the lounge, we need to sleep as we have been awake for the last 48 hours due to the weapons situation. This is also why you were ordered to assemble and assist us", with this he turned around and walked with his companion to the lounge to rest.

"What the fuck is this weapon, that it requires 24/7 monitoring?" one of the Squadron members mumbled, with a confused look on his face. At this point the crate suddenly started rocking and snarls came from inside of it. The Squadron members all blanched and the Squadron Leader sprinted to the lounge and yelled "The crate is rocking back and forth and there are snarls coming from it" to the two men that were lying on the couches in the lounge. The two men jolted awake and sprinted towards the cargo bay, "What the fuck, I thought you said he would be out cold until we got half way through the journey" Mad Scientist snarled at Brain.

Brain snarled back "As if you don't know that it's always an educated guess when it comes to knocking that fucker out", by this time they had already reached the crate and Mad Scientist exclaimed "Shit, he's gonna break free in a maximum of 2 minutes"

"Working on it, gimme 30 seconds" Brain yelled back while operating his light brain at maximum speed, his hands leaving afterimages.

"Okay, he should be calming down in 10 seconds" he sighed. Just as he finished sighing in relief, the cage indeed quieted down and the snarling stopped. "He's gaining immunity to the Chants, Ima have to research stronger ones when we get back" he said to Mad Scientist.

"Can either of you explain exactly what the fuck this weapon is?" the Squadron Leader exclaimed.

Brain looked at Mad Scientist, who shook his head, and then turned to the Squadron Leader and said "You'll see soon enough" and sat down heavily on a safety chair attached to the hull of the Stellar Craft. He then fastened the safety harness around himself and sighed "Might as well sleep here", closed his eyes and promptly started snoring.

Mad Scientist followed suit and said "Remember to keep staring at the crate at all times", closed his eyes and started snoring too.

The Squadron Leader turned to his subordinates and said "You heard him, the crate is to be stared at until told otherwise" then proceeded to sit down and stare at the crate. Thankfully for the remainder of the journey, the crate remained quiet.

Everyone jumped in fright when all of a sudden an alarm went off. Brain turned off his alarm and said to Mad Scientist "It's time to send him off"

Mad Scientist nodded and looked towards the Stellar Squadron members saying "Move the crate from its current location to the launch tube and prepare to launch the crate towards the surface of the planet, as soon as its launched, the Stellar Craft will execute an emergency atmospheric escape manoeuvre to get as much distance between the Stellar Craft and that crate before the weapon breaks free"

The Stellar Squadron members followed the orders and strapped themselves into the safety chairs and waited for the launch and emergency manoeuvre to commence. Mad Scientist and Brain did the same and Brian opened a holographic view screen to be able to see what happens on the planet's surface. He then gave the command to launch the crate and execute the emergency manoeuvre.

The Stellar Craft shuddered due to the crate being launched and straight afterwards everyone was pressed down onto the chairs due to the Stellar Craft ascending straight up at high velocity to complete the emergency atmospheric escape manoeuvre.

Once the Stellar Craft completed the manoeuvre, everyone fixed their gazes on the holographic view screen. Everyone witnessed the crate landing hard on the planet's surface, a crater appearing with the crate in the centre of it.

Brain reported "Chants have been turned off and he should wake up any second now", just as he finished speaking snarls sounded from the crate and it started rocking again. Then the banging started and dents started appearing on the walls of the crate as if something or someone was punching it from the inside attempting to escape.

The snarling intensified and the walls of the crate were sliced open from the inside by blades, Mad Scientist sighed "There goes another pair of gloves".

The walls of the crate were suddenly blown away from the inside, "Shit, he actually had the nerve to use an explosion with himself as the epicentre, he really is pissed off this time"

Once the dust settled, everyone could see exactly what the weapon looked like. First thing everyone could see were a pair of metallic black and silver leathery wings that had a total wingspan of 6 metres, with large and sharp spikes running along the radius and the top of the Ulnar joints had large dagger like appendages. The spikes and dagger appendages had a metallic silver colour and looked as lethal as could be.

When looking closely, it could be seen that the weapon was in a kneeling position, but the rest was obscured by the wings as they were somewhat folded. Then the weapon started moving, going slowly from a kneeling position to a fully upright standing position. When this movement was finished, everyone was able to see clearly how the rest of the weapon looked.

From the look of it, the weapon was in fact a Childe, roughly 200 cm tall and had short, spiky hair at the back of his head that was a metallic purple colour, the middle part of his hair was long, coming down to his waist and was a mixture of metallic black and silver and his bangs were the same colour, only shorter as they came to just below his eyebrows. From his bangs protruded a pair of Imperial horns that curled backwards towards the back of his head, the horns were a metallic black silver colour and looked to be crystalline in texture. From the rest of his hair protruded smaller hail horns, forming an almost helmet-like shield around his head.

His ears were exposed and were elongated, looking somewhat like the ears of elves that were described in folklore. The top part of his right ear had a cross-shaped earring hanging from it. He was wearing a dark metallic purple sleeveless shirt that was tight-fitting and backless, showing off his slender figure that somehow showed that there was explosive power hidden within his body. His legs were encased in black leather pants that were just as tight-fitting as his shirt. He was wearing black leather combat boots that came to just below the knee, the boots had a lot of silver chains hanging off them. He was wearing black arm guards that had silver-colored wavy blades extending from the sides, his nails were 30 cm long blades.

His eyebrows were metallic silver, they arched in a way that made him look as if he was disdaining the universe. His phoenix eyes were framed by black eyeliner and silver eyelashes. His lips were full and seemed to naturally curl up into a sneer, his upper canines were fangs that looked to be 20 cm long. His features looked as if they were carved by a knife from a block of white jade, however every bit of exposed skin showed blood red markings that looked reminiscent of Runes. On his neck, he wore a black choker necklace with a dark purple gem in the centre.

The Childe opened his eyes, showing irises that were a deep blood red and were glowing with a crimson red light that showed nothing but insanity in them, the pupils were oddly narrowed into vertical slits that looked like those of a dragon. He threw his head back and roared in a low, almost subsonic dark timbre. He then turned around and everyone could see that spikes were growing from his spine and there was a thick and armoured tail growing from the base of his spine, looking to be made of the same material as the horns. The end of the tail ended in a lethal and wicked looking tri-blade that was swishing from side to side like it was the head of a cobra.

"Looks like he is in his Second Transformation and based on the look in his eyes, he's in Demonic mode. I am starting to pity the Zergs here" Brain said to Mad Scientist with a sigh.

"Mhmm, I really wouldn't want to be a Zerg at this time" Mad Scientist responded with a nod, his eyes showing a hint of sympathy in them.

"Why are you showing sympathy to those filthy Zerg?" one of the Stellar Squadron members asked indignantly.

"Do not be mistaken, we do not sympathise with the Zerg. However, with him being in a frenzied, Demonic state I would feel some pity towards anyone or anything facing him, this is simply due to the way I know that they will die. He will not kill them quickly and cleanly, no he will make sure that they feel despair and endless pain and suffering before he allows them to die" Mad Scientist with a deep sigh.

"Isn't this a good thing?" one of the Squadron members asked.

"In one way it is, but when he starts, you will see why we would feel a slight pity for his victims. The task this time was to avoid him doing this in a civilian area" Brain said while shaking his head as he witnessed the Childe speeding up into a run that left afterimages.

"Huh, it looks like he broke free from the suppressors effect, so he is currently at max power, this shouldn't take too long" Brain said while checking telemetry appearing on a screen of his light brain.

"Will it be enough though, coz I'm really not feeling having to catch and manhandle him in this state again" Mad Scientist asked.

"There should be enough Zerg here for him to vent and calm down, as long as he doesn't use his ultimate moves" Brain replied drily.

"Okay, I'll go and prep a room for him as well as start getting some food and tea ready for him" Mad Scientist said as he stood up and walked out of the cargo bay.

"Yeah, I'll contact HQ and have them prep a large cargo ship to come and collect the Zerg remains for processing" Brain said as he started typing out the communication needed.

Meanwhile everyone else was watching the holographic view screen with horrified amazement, as the gory and utterly terrifying carnage that was happening was displayed there.

"Is he always like this?" one of the Squadron members asked Brain timidly.

"Nah, he's just like this coz someone stole a kill from him in The Game and he wasn't able to properly vent it there, so he got a bit excited and ended up being booted out of The Game. The results are as you have seen it and are seeing it now" Brain replied distractedly as he was monitoring the telemetry on his light brain screen, "Motherfucker, this brat has gotten stronger faster than I thought, I'm gonna hafta make some serious mods to the system suppressing him. You really are a lil bitch, making me work so hard to clean up after yo ass" he was grumbling while making notes and communicating with someone on his light brain.

Mad Scientist returned to the cargo bay just as Brain said that and remarked sarcastically "That lil bitch, as you like to call him, will most definitely kick yo ass when he sobers up. So don't come crying to me when that happens, ya know, like the last time"

"Whatever, it's not like this hasn't happened before and I know for a fact that it will happen countless times in the future. To be honest, I really pity the fucker that ends up being his Mate. His life is most likely gonna be living hell, knowing that brat" Brain replied.

"Don't get me started on that, please just don't remind me of the shitstorm that will be his Bonding" Mad Scientist lamented with a black face.

Brain replied with a smile that was gloating and ghastly at the same time, because he remembered that he will have more work to do when that time comes. He immediately felt like crying hysterically and had to work really hard to suppress that feeling in his heart, "I really hate my job" he lamented in a deep sorrowful sigh.

The Squadron members were watching the holographic view screen while listening to the two men talk and felt cold shivers down their spine. They looked at each other and all silently and tacitly agreed to never breathe a word of what had happened or was said here today.

At this time, the carnage on the planet's surface had ended and the Childe stopped moving, his chest heaving with each breath he took.

"Looks like he's calmed down, I'll contact him and have him come up to the Stellar Craft to clean up and have some refreshments while we head back to HQ" Mad Scientist opened his light brain as he said this and sent a message to the Childe. The Childe nodded and with a massive flap of his wings, launched into the air and headed straight towards the Stellar Craft at a high velocity.

He easily broke through and escaped from the atmosphere and approached the Stellar Craft, at this time everyone could see that his features were changing in real time, his wings grew smaller and the leathery membrane and spike receded and metallic black and silver feathers replaced them, the blood red markings faded, the tail, horns and spikes receded his fangs and nails retracted and his eyes became a metallic purple that was the same shade as the back part of his hair, the pupils were also no longer elongated slits, but rounded like everyone else's.

Mad Scientist had the hatch opened for the Childe and after he boarded the Stellar Craft, had them depart for HQ. He then guided the Childe to the prepped room so he could clean up, handed the Childe a new pair of gloves, which were worn directly by the Childe and he finished preparing the food and tea he had started preparing earlier.

A few minutes later the Childe entered the lounge and sat down leisurely, his entire body naturally oozing a sense of seductiveness that seemed to be completely natural and unintentionally released by the Childe. He started to consume the food and tea prepared for him and then sat back with his eyes closed, as if he was tired and resting. He remained that way until the Stellar Craft landed back at HQ and he exited with Mad Scientist and Brain and departed in a black hover car at high speed.

From beginning to end, not a single member of the Stellar Squadron learned the Childe's name, age or anything else other than what he looked like. But they would never forget what he looked like nor the carnage they had witnessed until the day they died. But they never spoke of it to anyone and all of them took this with them to their graves.

The angelic looking Childe that was more terrifying than the Devil himself.
