I watched Lillith's lifeless body fall to the ground right next to Paul's and sighed.

To think it had ended just like that.

I felt a brief pang of regret on how I had let him out so easily but quickly buried it. 

He wasn't worth it.

Though I had played with him for long, there was no need for me to be that petty.

His pathetic weakness in his last hour was already punishment enough.
