A black light. Countless screaming soul. The ominous netherworld fire...

It was as if the scene before their eyes was coming out straight from hell.

Illi approached the terrible scene. Not affected by the heart shuddering scene.

Aside from the child who was protected by a layer of shield by the egg on his bosom. X, Y and Z face was stricken with horror. Clutching their chest.

They seem to be lost in a hallucination of nightmare.

The ghouls were hovering around them.

The screaming soul cirlcle around Illi but Illi have an unperturbed expression. She was a bit psychopatic. Psychopath does not have emotion. Although she was not a psychopath, she was high functioning sociopath at the least, one of her nuerotic was that she does not have fear. Sad right? Even hate, she cannot sum up. If not she will hate those scientist fellow who plan her death.

She only felt a lingering regret on not finishing her experinment. Her obsession.

She slowly but steadily walk towards the egg that was at the center of all the terrible scene.

The hell fire have burn her clothes and her body.

Her fleshy body melted revealing  her bone. It was a horrifying scene.

Illi raise her brow at her melting body.

The melting of her body was painful, the pain could not be described with word. Like countless ants biting her body. Like her body burn to death.

In this case, it is.

This kind of pain, she feel it for the second time again.

At her past life when the solar flare occur. She was burned into a crisp. She still survive with her roasted body.

She could feel when her heart and brain were stored in a fluid container. Her soul was trap in that brain and heart.

Later, it was put inside a body of a brain dead patient. Her brain and her heart.

Only then could she regain control of her 'body' again.

Atleast now, she can still walk forward even with her skeletal frame.

Her skeletal body was controlled by her energy to make it walk forward. She no longer have muscle to control the bone so she has to used her energy.

She finally reached the egg.

Once she touch the egg, at a rate visible to the naked eye, a fleshy body started to grow.

Her blood vessel, tissue, musle, tendons, intestine, skin...

It was as if she encounter a complete rebirth. Better yet, a complete rejuvenation, modification or body upgrade..

Half of her black hair turn white.

A strange pattern of red tattoo spiral around her left hand.

Scorching red spider lilly that was said to grow beside the gate of hell bloom on her left face giving her a devilish beauty.

A red brocade draping over her body.

Illi glance down at the pitch black egg.

"Little thing, How much have I suffer to obtain you? You have to do lot of things for me to compensate you know?"

A mellow chuckle rang out and carried away with the billowing wind.

At the distance, the child look intently at the devil like beauty Illi. He was not aware that he was mesmerized.

Illi walk back languidly. Her every move mesmerizing carrying a devilish charm like a seccubus.

The screaming soul was absorb by the black egg.

The ghoul beside X, Y and Z was also absorb. They finally wake up from their horrifying nightmare.

Before they were able to proceed what happened, they were attracted by the soul-sucking beauty walking towards them.

"La-Lady B-Bo-Boss"

Y stutter.

How come their devasting pure beauty lady boss turn into a soul sucking seductress beauty?

Illi roll her eyes at them.

"Quickly get up, I feel that something is about to happen".

Their years of obeying her word act up immediately as if it was their sixth sense. As if being engraved in their bone.

They quickly stood up collecting themselves and throw out of their mind on  how  their lady boss hair change colour and how there was a beautiful tattoo appear on her face.

After collecting themselves, a tremor spread throughout the mountain.

A sonic cry rang out.

An image of a mighty dragon and a flaming Phoenix fly out.

The scene was truly majestic.

They felt a mighty presssure, a noble and haughty existence pressure.

Illi and the child doea not feel the pressure. It was as if they are above the two noble existence.

Illi snicker.

She pat the three subordinate soldier.

X, Y and Z finally felt the bouldier like pressure lifting when their lady boss pat their shoulder.

"Stand close to me"

As soon as Illi finish her word, the trees and ground crumble like a sand.

Illi grab the child. Carrying him at her bosom.

A sandstorm bellowed fiercely but the place around Illi was not affected.

Once the storm settle down a terrifying scene appear right before their eyes.

An ugly monster were battling with numerous people who have also came to the Lin state to obtain the mythical egg.

Various screaming soul were lingering around. Whoever it passes through, their body frozen stiff and die in the process.

"Lady boss..."

Z voice was laced with worry.

"Its fine, just obediently stay beside me, nothing will happen to us"

It was just what Illi said.

All those monster and screaming ghouls act as if they don't exist.

Illi led her subordinate at a conspicious place lest those people would notice them and came running towards them, begging to be saved.

At a distance a silhoutte came towards them.

Wherever it passes through, countless people lost their life.

Their head bursting gruesomely.

That brutal existence came towards Illi and her underlings.

The three subordinate clutch their weapon.

"Didn't I say to just stay obediently?"

After that, the three person relax.

It was the accumulation of their three years following of their lady boss and their unyielding trust towards her.

Illi have trained them in complete blind obedience for nothing after all.

The person figure gradually could be made out.

It was the Lin Emperor.

The emperor soon reached their side.

A gentle and weak appearance still etched on his person.

He check out Illi but soon evaded his eyes seeing the tattoo on her face.

No one notice the horror and fear flashing across his eyes as he concealed hurriedly.

"Lady, how was your visit to my country?"

He have  gentle tone. No one will be able to relate him as the ruthless person who gorily slaughter people like the grim reaper.

"Good"

"I will like to thank you for that potion, it heal a portion of my wounded soul. If lady permit, may I boldly request another potion? Of course, it will not be for free, I will pay"

Illi quirk her brow.

"Oh? What will be the payment?"

"Lady can call out my name anytime and will help you once in the future days when you encounter trouble"

Illi shrug her shoulder "Not a bad proposal, anyway, here"

A potion was thrown towards the Emperor.

The emperor smile a gratitude of thanks.

Illi then turn toward the one-sided battle.

One-sided because the monsters and ghouls were slaughtering the people like a pig in butcher room

At a distance, she saw a dazzling male and female who was resisting the onslaught attack from the monster and ghouls.

Although they are in haggard state, they fare far better than the other people.

Those two have the aura that stand out among the masses.

"I supposed those two wil be able to survive?"

"The Son and Daughter of Heaven always encounter an unexpected escaped'e whenever they are about to die"

The Lin Emperor humourlessly answered, scoffing at his own word.

"Like a deus Ex Machina"

Illi mutter.

"Deus Ex Ma what?"

The Lin emperor asked confusedly.

"Nothing" Illi wave her hand dismissively.

The dragon and the Phoenix. They really are the son and daughter of heaven.

Illi took back all her previous word.

That knowledge, she seem to instinctively know when she obtain the harpy egg.

"You are part of the unde-"

"Not care, not care... I'm not interested in such. I'm content at my experinmenting life"

The Lin emperor smile shaking his head, not commenting further.

All the people were slaughtered except the two people who obtain the dragon and phoenix egg and a dozen of their underlings.

A bright stone suddenly appear out of thin air when the survivor was about to loose their ground.

Burning the monster and ghouls.

The monster shriek in pain.

Taking a chance of the unexpected turn of situation, the remaining survivor quickly fled.

"That stone was not supposed to appear"

The emperor sigh in frustration.

A bright red flaming egg flew out, swallowing the bright stone.

Once the dazzling stone dissapear. The survivor were nowhere to be found.

Illi pat the emperor sympathetically.

"Why not just intervene?"

"The twelve universal rule"

Illi tsk.. No longer commenting.

"I'm also leaving"

The emperor nod his head.

"May we meet again"

He state and his body started to fade along with the monster and ghoul.

Illi turn around and walk away along with her underlings with the child still in her arm.

This kind of thing, it does not have anything to do with her.

All she need to do was to concentrate on her experinment.

And live a leisure carefree life.
