I woke up with the sun shining in front of my eyes but there was something I remembered.. something that had me infinitely confused due to having never had such a dream before. Honestly I am not even sure it was a dream due to how much I remember it but nothing really happened in it did it?
Really all that happened was me seeing a book with a pretty artistic cover and I saw something along the lines of protagonist on it.
Before I could think about that bizarre dream a book dropped on my head seemingly out of nowhere and though it did not hurt that much it did as much surprise me.
But when I looked at the cover I was impossibly surprised due to the book looking like the one from my dreams, due to this I for some reason started thinking about the science of dreams (which I really knew nothing about) and how what you see goes into your dreams.
But before I did anything with the book I inspected it due to it magically appearing above my head and I saw the title which was pretty bizarre "A Guide to Protagonists" and I first read the back synopsis.
"This is the guide to understanding what a protagonist is and how they work. This will also teach you the different levels of protagonists and the varying level and form of cheats they have"
Honestly this whole situation has left me in total shock but since the book is as big as a children's book I decided to read it and today is a Saturday anyway... well not like I have a job either but whatever.
The book introduced how protagonists and whatever they are were created from the remnants of power from the fallen gods and the power they have is reminiscent to the god they got said power from. For example if you got your power from lets say Zeus you would have a power reminiscent of weather and thunder. But the book also said that the setting in which these protagonist's stories occur are also reminiscent of what religion said god was apart of which means there could be multiple gods of different things.
One of the biggest things I took from this was god's exist which is a huge load onto my fairly insignificant being knowing that there are people that could snap and probably kill me but it also deepened my curiosity of these so called protagonists considering they have the power of the Gods.
But before I could really analyze any of the information given to me a vortex or at least I think it was a vortex appeared below my feet and I could only see a little bit of the purplish glow before blacking out...
I woke up with the sun shining in my face and feeling a sense of Deja Vu due to this happening befo- wait... I just got sucked into a purple vortex didn't I? So what am I-
Before I could fall into something that could only be described as a transformation to becoming mentally insane I saw a letter with a little clip on it saying "Must Read".
It read as follows
"Hello, if you are reading this then you are the chosen one and may or may not be responsible for saving hundreds of planets due to the special qualities you possess. So you have most likely read a book that introduced the idea of protagonists to you so I will skip that so I will just shorted it and say that you have to humiliate these protagonists. You have to do this due to the protagonists occupying too much of there world's destiny "energy" which makes it so people who were supposed to do great things can't. The reason you are responsible for this job is because the protagonist's plot armor cant affect you. Now this does not mean you can just kill them because destiny will make that nearly impossible so you have to humiliate them. The humiliation of the protagonists are not enough for there "fate energy" to act. Due to these near impossible circumstances we will give you the protagonist's identity, cheat and what type of genre world you are in each time." - Archangel Azrael
After this I just stopped being shocked and just read the sort of analysis of this world..
Protagonist Name: Daikoku Jurōjin God's Name: Daidoku (God of Money) Origin: Japan Years Till The Story Starts: 1 year Protagonist Summary: The Protagonist Daikoku Jurōjin was a pretty broke college student but he still felt like the luckiest person in the world due to dating a beautiful girl Mei Jinshi. But one there 1st year anniversary she suddenly dumped him because of how he has no money and left him for a rich young master. But then he awakened the "God of Money" system and then entered the pinnacle of his life and years later his girlfriend came back begging for him to forgive her.
After reading the description of this protagonist it instantly reminded me of those mass produced Chinese novels I sometimes read though he was incredibly surprised that something like this could ever happen in real life with real people.. but then he remembered that a protagonist's plot armor could affect the people around him and could basically dumb them down.
He also counted his blessings due to the protagonist seeming to be pretty stupid and he has no superpowers or superhuman abilities except for a money making system which will still be impossibly hard but will still be possible.
He is making the assumption that this world is pretty capitalistic due to the synopsis and as long as he makes more money or shows it off more then the protagonist it could help with humiliating the protagonist but that may be a bit hard to due him being the literal incarnation of the "God of Money".
But at the same time at least I still have a year and he is not a transmigrated protagonist which makes it so I can at least think of something from my original world that I could use here... maybe a pyramid scheme?
