20. Surprise

I felt my chest beat faster when I heard the sound of a car stopping in front of the house. I followed my parents to the front door. In the yard of the house, a man got out of the car smiling, "Harsya! He is always full of surprises and always tries to pamper me. Even though he had agreed not to pick me up this morning, he was already here.

Harsya immediately greeted my parents by kissing their hands and then hugged me intimately in front of them, making me feel blushed.

"I told you not to pick me up. I plan to take the bus," I said in a whisper in Harsya's ear.

"Hehe, I missed it," said Harsya while holding my cheeks, which made the color redder in cash.

Dad and Mom immediately ordered Harsya into the house. They then sat chatting in the living room while I went into the kitchen to make Harsya her favorite cappuccino coffee.

Both my parents like Harsya, for them, Harsya are not only prospective son-in-law, but they have considered him their biological son because Mom and Dad don't have sons. They only have one child, that is me, their only child. Actually, Mom once had a son, but the child died a few hours after birth due to a heart defect. That boy is my brother.

Sometimes I feel jealous of Harsya because when Harsya is around, they are more attentive to Harsya than to me. But I can't be helped, and they'll only laugh if I protest.

I went out with a cup of cappuccino coffee for Harsya and two cups of sweet tea for my parents. After placing the drinking cups on the table, I immediately sat next to Harsya to join in their chat.

While at this house, Harsya talks more with my parents, especially my father. Dad and Harsya are so suitable when they speak from a to z. They forget the time, which has been going on after I met Harsya.

We chatted for a long time until it was four in the afternoon. It means that we have talked for more than two hours, and my plans to return to the boarding house early did not happen.

I was planning on going home early so I could rest. We have to gather on campus at half-past seven before leaving for our destination village.

Before it was getting late, we both finally said goodbye to mom and dad. As usual, a series of advice they said before we entered the car.

Author's note:

It turned out that Harsya was not Ali who came. Those who support Ali don't be disappointed, because later there will be an exciting part between Zie and Ali.
