Chapter 31 - Without A Photo, It's Hoax

(On a date, don't bother!)

Someone wrote that in the group. I don't know who because I do not save the number. I immediately looked at the shack when I realized that the only phone number I didn't save was Ali's. I saw him smiling at his phone and I was surprised by Ali's pranks when I read the lines he wrote in the group because I was sure it would cause quite a stir.

(There's no need to gossip, Al! How could Zie want to be with you? You are always bullying her!) Ria commented not long after Ali posted the words that could cause this bias.

Ali responded to Ria's comment with a laughing emoticon.

(Yeah, I can't believe Zie wants to date you. She's a loyal type of girl. This news is in unless if you can show your picture) Atikah wrote.

(That's right! No picture means hoax,) Seri's comment responded to Ali.

(Yes, no picture was it's a mean hoax,) Ria replied.

Airin commented on Ali's post with a shocking emoticon. Obviously, she couldn't accept that the news was trustworthy because she had long hoped to be Ali's girlfriend. Unfortunately, Ali only thought of her as nothing more than an ordinary friend.

Ali is always friendly with everyone, especially with the girls except with me, of course. His warm and caring attitude often makes girls misinterpret his attitude.

(Come on, where's the picture?)

(Yes, the photo, Al!)

Even though I thought that the sentence Ali wrote would cause a stir, I didn't expect the group members to respond to Ali's pranks immediately. Various angry comments filled the conversation in the group, and they especially asked Ali to show a photo of us together.

I read every comment with a thumping feeling, and I was afraid that Ali would send us the photos of us looking very intimate earlier. I was worried that someone would send the pictures to Harsya and cause a misunderstanding between us.

(Zie took the photo earlier, using her cellphone) wrote Ali.

(Zie..)

(Zie)

I frowned, reading Ali's last sentence by tagging my number, which made the other group members call me. I was still standing next to the motorbike when I saw Ali coming down from the shack. I suddenly felt butterflies in my stomach when I saw him walking towards me.

An idea just flashed through my mind. I immediately chose one of the photos just I took and sent a photo of Ali when praying with a caption (Yes, he is dating his God)

Suddenly a picture I sent made the group chat even more crowded. They protested the picture I sent with a big laugh emoji.

(Ugh, it's not fun, I thought Ali and Zie's picture!)

(I'm guessing the same thing with you)

(😃😃😃)

(Did I say? There's no way Zie wants Ali,)

(Wow, who knows behind their hatred all this time, it turns out that love has also grown between them. Just now Ali was sitting next to Zie even though he usually kept his distance as far as possible, hehe) Atikah wrote.

I bit my lower lip reading the words Atikah wrote. I felt every word she wrote touch my heart. Sometimes I feel behind his nonchalant attitude, Ali begins to pay attention to me. I can't imagine if this happened before the events of that mysterious night, I'm sure Ali would reject me completely when we were in the same group as usual.

(No need for gossip, I'm in the group) I replied that's to the group.

Atikah only responded with laughing emoticons.

Many other comments made me smile until I didn't realize Ali was near me.

"Zie..." Ali called me surprised and turned his face towards him. Ali smiled, our distance was close enough that it made me feel suffocated.

The next second I realized that Ali had just taken a picture of our closeness earlier so I tried to grab his phone to delete the picture. Ali kept his phone away from me while continuing to laugh. I moved around Ali to get his phone but he was able to keep it away from me by holding it up high until I gave up. Finally just standing still with a sullen face with a slightly out of breath.

"I go home now, Do you want to stay here?" asked Ali as he got on the motorbike and started the engine.

Even though I feel irritated, I still ride behind him. Of course, I didn't want to be left here alone and had to walk to Mak Ijah's house. Besides, I don't know the way yet, I might get lost

Ali drove his motorbike fast, we didn't talk to each other the rest of the way. We finally arrived at Mak Ijah's yard ten minutes later.

Lucky, Rendi, Ria, and Airin who were on the terrace were surprised to see us coming home together.

"Whose this motorbike, Al?" asked Rendi, and Lucky approached.

"It was borrowed from one of the residents we recorded earlier," Ali replied as he got off the motorbike. I followed him.

"Wow, that's great!" Rendi exclaimed, "I was walking until I was sore, no one offered me a ride, hehe,"

Ali just chuckled. I walked into the house, leaving the three boys in the yard. Lucky and Rendi looked, admiring the motorbike that Ali had used earlier.

"How long did it take, anyway?" asked Airin when I just put my ass on the patio chair.

"The terrain is difficult, and I almost fell while passing it, so we were advised just to go home and turn around, fortunately, we got a motorbike loan, otherwise we will return later." I let go of my backpack next to the chair and put my feet on the other chair.

"Ding!"

I immediately opened the chat in the group when there was a notification. Ali sent a photo with a description. (not a hoax)
