"What happened to you?" The question came out of the mouth of a man who was walking closer and finally sat right in front of him.
"I just need a cup of coffee." He replied nonchalantly, sipping his coffee quietly.
"There seems to be something wrong with you." The man said while giggling amused.
"Isn't that you?" He asked, sounding lazy, only glancing at his friend.
"No, Luke. You look darker."
"Since when do I look bright?"
"But the color of your skin...."
"What do you really want to say? Stop making pointless topics of conversation." The man named Luke seemed a little annoyed by Kai constant rambling.
"Luke, look." Well, Kai doesn't really care how Luke reacts.
"Just a waste of my time talking to a human like you." Luke stood up from his seat, right after he finished drinking.
"Hold on, Luke. Are you sure you don't want to see that woman? Look, she's body really attractive." Kai grabbed Luke's wrist so the man had to sit back down and see what Kai was fussing about.
Well, Kai's eyes are never wrong when judging a woman. The shape of the woman sitting at the table not far from them really caught the eyes of the men, but Luke wasn't looking right there. Luke... was fixated on another object.
Seeing Luke who was silent, Kai felt proud for some reason. "Like I said, her body is very good."
"No," Luke answered quickly.
"Don't be shy. You see her full of lust like that." Kai teased Luke, raising his eyebrows to look at the flat-faced man.
"I do not see it."
Hearing Luke's words, Kai became curious and asked, "Then who did you see?"
"Are you curious?" Luke asked, Kai nodded excitedly. But when he saw the smirk on Luke's face, Kai knew he didn't mean to tell him that.
Just as Kai thought, Luke just gave a small smile before leaving and letting himself gape in disbelief. Look, that guy is too cunning.
"You really left? Without telling me anything?" Kai turned to look at Luke who stopped and smiled sweetly like before.
"Tell you what?"
"What did you just say?! Did you forget?" Kai looked at Luke in disbelief.
"Ah! Yes, I forgot and I'm sorry about that." Luke smiled before returning to his leisurely walk without any more care for the confused Kai.
"Hey! You pretended to forget, didn't you? Right! How could you forget so quickly?! What a sneaky man!" Kai shouted in annoyance but Luke had already walked a long way and—pretending—didn't hear his screams. To be honest, Luke had only passed four of the ten tables that would have brought the man's footsteps out.
Luke really heard Kai's screams but he was too lazy to serve Kai who talked a lot. Luke didn't intend to sit too long in the cafe either, he still had work to do. Saturated, his life is like a monochrome that is only black. It was too dark, even Luke couldn't help but agree with what Kai said about him in his heart.
"Isn't there a company that sells white paint for life? If there is I will buy at any price," Luke monologued, he was already close to the exit when he accidentally bumped into the shoulder of someone beside him.
His eyes glanced at the previous glimpse with quick reflexes he used his left hand to catch the body of the figure that fell on the shoulder colliding with him. Luke was a little surprised when he felt the body that was now leaning on his hand so well it even felt very comfortable, for a moment Luke was silent just because he wanted to feel that comfort for a moment before a voice interrupted him.
"I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to do it." The back that originally rested on his hands was now gone, the figure stood up and repeatedly bowed politely while continuously apologizing, Luke felt himself to be very bad just because he received too many apologies from that figure.
"Relax, there's no need to worry too much. Are you okay?" Luke asked, he smiled and bowed slightly—meant to get a better look.
"Oh, I'm fine. Thank you for your kindness, are you also okay, Sir?" It sounded like a boy voice, when the figure lifted its head and Luke's eyes got a better look, it was a cute looking boy figure with a small body and big eyes.
Why is he so beautiful? It was a matter of Luke's heart how the man could say that when he saw the figure.
"Don't worry about me. How about your milk?" Luke looked down, right at half the pants the boy was wearing, his milk spilled during the incident.
"Eh? I didn't even notice. It's okay, I'm really sorry for messing it up." Once again, the boy bowed again but Luke would not let go for the umpteenth time.
His hand reached out to hold the boy's shoulder, who wouldn't be surprised when he felt both of his shoulders being held by strong but gentle hands.
"Excuse me, Sir? Did I make you angry?" Asked the boy, Luke gave a long snort.
"Stop apologizing and bowing. The workers here will clean it up and also, let me change your milk."
Hearing this, the man immediately shook his head quickly. "No need, Sir. Besides, there's only half of the milk and I don't want any more either."
Luke was silent, of course he knew the boy was lying to him. Half what? Even made the brown pants worn almost white.
"What about the teddy bear?" Luke asked, seeing the surprised look on the boy's face.
"Doll? What doll... ah, it doesn't really matter."
He lied a second time.
Luke sighed in exasperation, seeing the grim expression the boy had when Luke said about the little teddy bear he got from a special order at the cafe. Luke thought it must be the last doll this cafe had.
"Really I don't mind, thank you Sir, then I'll say goodbye." Luke's grip on the boy's shoulder instantly loosened. The figure immediately turned around and walked hastily.
What Luke's eyes saw now was the back that was starting to move away from him and disappearing behind the chime of the cafe bell on the door.
"Oh, Luke! You're still here!" Kai suddenly appeared behind the man, patting Luke on the shoulder. Realizing that Luke was just standing still and not giving him a sharp glance, Kai tried to see what was going on.
"A glass of milk." Luke said suddenly, Kai turned his head with a frown.
"Huh?"
"Maybe I should try mixing coffee and milk when I get to the company."
"What do you mean? You don't like milk, do you?" Kai felt strange at Luke's sudden change in preferences. They had known each other since middle school, so it was natural for Kai to feel strange about a flat and lively man with a dark aura like Luke.
"But now I like it."
