Benjamin Moonfall

Benjamin felt incredibly frustrated after his encounter with the Gate Guards.

He decided to wait for a while, and assess the situation before meeting with Drake. However, he could feel the suspicious eyes of the Frozen Knight Order members on him at all time. It was as if he was a wanted criminal.

Each one of them was wearing the white steel uniform of the Frozen Knight Order. They all wielded one-handed sword and a shield, and judging from their posture, they were well-trained.

Citizens were all smiling. Beggars were nowhere to be seen. Streets were clean.

'Just what the hell happened in this city?', Benjamin thought with surprise, 'I might even begin to respect this damn nephew of mine'

Changing a forsaken city in the middle of nowhere with so little support from the family into a sturdy fortress was impossible in just three years. Yet so much happened in one year, more than what an average member of the family could have done in ten years.

As Benjamin entered the market, he began to gather some information.

"The Mayor? Oh, you mean our lord", the local woodcutter laughed, "He is very reliable. Now, I don't even have to worry about cutting logs. Goblin tribes have been killed already. I didn't think it was possible, but now monsters try to escape at the sight of humans"

"The Mayor is a kind being. Thanks to him, we can afford meat once in a while. My son joined the Frozen Knight Order. He is our pride. Although he doesn't have many days off, his tales inside the order are extraordinary. Did you know that the lord train know the name of every single member of the Frozen Knight Order? The Order has 250 members, you know! What an intelligent lord!"

"If you are a visitor, I would suggest you take a look at the Frozen Knight Order Temple. Besides worshipping the almighty God, they train their swordsmanship in public with the lord every day at dawn. The sight is mesmerizing"

Every villager praised Drake like the sun.

To Benjamin, this was a sight to behold.

'It can't be...He caused a bloodbath...yet he is loved? It doesn't make sense!'

Drake had revealed the crimes of those he killed. Necromancy, murders...Even if it was a meagre connection, it was enough of a reason for causing a capital punishment in the ears of villagers. Not all bought this, but they quickly tried to rebel, causing them to be sent to mines. As a result, only those with favourable image of Drake remained in the city.

This was a flourishing land.
