Pink Snow Battle (4)

[Minor Fireball]

Elderwood Acolytes who witnessed the incredible scene of Drake Moonfall, a man who was known as an exiled nobody from the Moonfall Household, cut through more than fifty soldiers and knights to behead the man who had betrayed him...They just couldn't help but feel fear.

Three of the most experienced acolytes tried to cast [Minor Fireball], which was the most commonly found spell in the Elderwood Magical library.

Yet, out of these three experienced acolytes, only one managed to properly cast the spell. The other two trembled too much and failed, causing their head to suffer greatly. Failing to cast a spell would always cause a spirit backlash. For the next minute, it was unlikely for them to be able to speak clearly, not to mention think clearly.

[Minor Fireball received]

[Estimated damage - 12 Degrees of Damage. 9 points have been blocked by your [Shadow Forcefield]. Your back is suffering from [Minor Burn] ailment. It is recommended to treat the wound as soon as possible. Your vitality is decreasing temporarily by 0.8 point]

Drake winced in pain, but he was surprised to see that his second innate spell could almost block all of the damage dealt by one of Elderwood's most accomplished acolyte.

Although the Elderwood Household could not compare to the Moonfall Household, it was still a Magus Family with centuries of legacy. Still, the last territorial war had made the gap between the two households' strength crystal clear, with the Elderwood's Supreme Elder, a peak rank acolyte, perish in the hands of Frederick Moonfall, the patriarch. This territorial war, which happened ten years ago, had allowed the Moonfall Family to earn the [Count] nobility rank, as well as earn the Elderwood family's most treasured heirloom, a high-rank magical artefact called [Elderwood Branch]. It was said to add a poisonous curse to all spells cast through the artefact.

Earning this high-rank artefact made Frederick Moonfall one of the most powerful peak-rank acolytes in the Porfield Kingdom and its neighbor countries.

Although the acolytes dispatched in this battlefield were not nearly as strong as those who were in the last territorial fight between those two magus households as the elites from the Elderwood household all died, there were still some veterans who went through a significant amount of battles.

Seeing that he was almost invincible, Drake smiled and rushed towards the acolyte who had charred his back and damaged his armour.

[Knight Killing Technique [Power Thrust] activated]

[You have dealt 28 degrees of damage]

[Target's heart has been pierced]

[Target is not showing any sign of being alive]

Drake smiled.

'That makes two out of ten acolytes'

Three knights tried to block him.

'Three veteran knights, huh...'

Although Drake was blinded by his feeling of anger, fear of dying and excitement at the scent of blood, he could still think clearly. Although he should have run away instead of entering this battlefield, there was a lot to gain besides the exhilarating feeling of taking revenge.

Still, he could recognize these three knights.

They were incomparable to the novices he had cut before.

The first knight was the infamous [White Blade] knight, a man who had killed his granduncle in the last territorial fight. Although he was quite elderly, he was a man of great skills. Strong, fast and terrifyingly sharp, his most fearsome tool in his arsenal was his cunningness and use of poison, which ultimately claimed the life of his granduncle, Bony Moonfall, ten years ago.

The two other knights were also quite famous. They were known as the [Twin Lizards], because they were using a formation called [Twin Lizard Formation] which they used to kill five knights each in the Winter Lake Battle, the bloodiest battle in the last territorial war.

These three knights working together could bring down most beginner rank acolytes, as well as any careless intermediate acolyte foolish enough to duel them in close range. These three knights were part of the [Seven Great Swords] belonging to the Elderwood Army.

However, Drake let them come close to him.

As their swords closed in, Drake smiled.

These 'sword experts' might look unbelievably strong in the untrained eyes of soldiers and ignorant acolytes. However, Drake could see their attacks coming.

'White Blade might be praiseworthy, reaching more than 50 points of proficiency in the Elderwood Swordsmanship, but still...'

Drake possessed more than 100 points of proficiency in the [Moonfall Swordsmanship].

White Blade could be called a [Sword Expert].

However, the difference between a [Sword Expert] and a [Swordmaster] was like heaven and Earth.

White Blade charged, and at the last second, his blade changed direction. From targeting the neck, it suddenly targeted Drake's heart.

But Drake saw it coming.

Titling his body to the right, White Blade's sword hit nothing but the air. At this point, he felt a sharp pain in his arm.

The Twin Lizards stopped their attacks upon seeing this scene unfold, and retreated five steps

*AAAAAAAAAAAARGH*

White Blade, one of the [Seven Great Swords] of the Elderwood Family, lost his arm in a single clash of sword. There had been no luck or misfortune involved. Drake was just too fast, too strong, too skilled when compared to knights.

[Sword Master]

All the knights and soldiers understood Drake's real strength in this single confrontation.
