Rise of the Potioneering Genius

[Drake Moonfall]

This name quickly spread in the Porfield Kingdom.

With the protection of the Ivory Tower, Drake decided to fulfill the quota of his contract. With 200 magic crystals of funding per month, as well as 70% of the benefits from his concoctions, Drake basically had full access to magical ingredients gathered by the rest of the family.

During the first year of the contract, Drake became famous when he released 25 [Minor Hemostasis Potions], 50 [Minor Strength Elixirs] and 25 [Mana Essence Regents]. Although only a couple of them were sold on acolyte markets, and the rest given to acolytes in the family, it was enough to turn the markets upside down. After all, the purity of those potions far exceeded the standards.

Drake's wealth increased from 1200 magic crystals to 1800 magic crystals in a single year, and that was in spite of countless costly experiments.

However, Drake did not stop here.

During the second year of the contract, Drake created twice more potions. With such a steady flow of potions, the Moonfall Acolytes' strength was raised by at least 40%, and they were able to take on more difficult missions, which allowed the Moonfall family to tighten its grasp on its newly conquered territory.

During the third year of the contract, Drake not only managed to brew a potion which allowed him to break through to the advanced realm based on notes left behind the most esteemed Elderwood Acolytes. He also gave information on the Northern Mountains, which the Elder Helena conquered with the help of 10 beginner rank acolytes and 3 intermediate rank acolytes. This year, Drake brewed 423 low-grade potions as well, allowing the Moonfall Household to earn a considerable amount of money.

During the fifth year of the contract, Drake continued to fulfill his quota and increase the amount of potions he brewed. Despite investing over 5000 magic crystals in his experiments, he was unable to create a potion that could consistently enhance magical power. Nonetheless, he made progress when he finally produced a subpar version of the potion, which only increased his spiritual force by 0.3 points. Although his methods were exorbitantly expensive, Drake was unconcerned about money as he had already accumulated a substantial fortune. By the end of the fifth year of the contract, Drake had developped complete resistance over the potion.

This year was also crucial for Drake, as his subordinate Arthur, still acting as his loyal butler, broke through the [Grand Knight Realm]. For a Magus Family, possessing two grand knights was unheard of, but this was the power of alchemy. Drake managed to condense the growth of decades into a couple of years.

He also felt the need to repay favours. Drake thus concocted regents, allowing both his parents to reach the advanced rank realm and Uncle John to reach the intermediate rank realm.

The Moonfall family now possessed 6 advanced rank acolytes, 8 intermediate rank acolytes, 1 peak rank acolyte as well as 18 beginner rank acolytes. This was probably the strongest the Moonfall family had been in centuries.
