Chapter 47

"Your last clue is read… like a book?" Chun He asks, looking at the paper. They solved the cipher, the answer being neither. However, now they were all stumped. Not knowing what the demoness meant by reading. Hsien Lian sat in the cave, a harsh wind blowing into the small area. "Should we go to a library?" Chang Bo asks, glancing over Chun He's shoulder.

Hsien Lian felt his hand being tugged, and as he turned, he saw XingYing, his black hair floating in the wind. His black glove held onto Hsein Lian's pale skin, his face with a soft smile. Blood red lips, blood red eyes. Yet happiness shown in both features. His curtain-like bangs hid his face, with his nose poking out. "Can we?" XingYing asked hopefully. Hsien Lian sighed, but nodded. "Fine. But not for long."

XingYing's grin widened, the ghost king pulling onto the god. Pulling him outside the cave and towards the edge of the mountains. Hubei could be seen under them, yet no souls dared to trot up the lengthy Wudang Mountains, rightly so. Hsien Lian laid his head slightly on XingYing's shoulder. "You know, you are my only friend." XingYing sighed. "You are the only friend I have ever had." Hsien Lian didn't move a muscle.

"I am the only friend you will ever need." Hsien Lian could tell XingYing was smiling. He lifted the hand that had been covered by the glove, releasing Hsien Lian's hold. He began to slide off the leather glove, a blackened hand being shown. It seemed as if ash was spread throughout the hand, it's state to the tips of his finger nails. Hsien Lian gasped softly at the sight, leaning in closer. "What happened? When did you get hurt?" Hsein Lian asked frantically. His hands began to glow right away, the god going to placing his hands on the top and bottom of XingYing's to heal it. But XingYing moved away.

"This happened way before I met you." XingYing stated, beginning to glove his hand again. Hsien Lian didn't stop, nor did he stare at tye wound on his hand. Instead he looked up at XingYing's face. "Is that how you died?" Hsien Lian asked softly. XingYing smiled. "I wasn't the best kid. How about I say that." XingYing stated, turning his head to look out at the mountains. Hsien Lian didn't ask anymore, following XingYing's eyesight to the tall mountains, fog hiding the ground underneath.

"Hsien Lian!" Chun He called, before running out of the cave. Chang Bo followed behind him casually. "She want us to go to the Han Dynasty! Go to the library there!" Chun He yelled, running up to the two. Hsein Lian looked at him for a moment, before down at the note. "Why the Han Dynasty?" Hsien Lian asked, as XingYing stepped back from him slightly. Hsien Lian frowned but didn't say much.

"Think about it. You said the Han Dynasty liked jewels, right? So, that is the only place someone could afford tanzanite." Chun He stated, placing the crystal in Hsien Lian's hand. The god looked down at it for a moment, before nodding. "Well, let's go there. Make a portal." Hsien Lian stated. Chang Bo with a flick of his hand, flames vanished. His hands however stayed bright and yellow as he started from the top, moving his hands down in a circular motion. Slowly, sparks of white, yellow, and black flooded the area, creating a mirror-like substance. It was only when the god snapped his fingers did he create a portal to the other side of China. Specifically Zhou.

Chun He stepped in first, Hsien Lian after him. They were inside the palace, Hsein Lian recognized it well. He was specifically in the west side. Lui Che's throne and living spaces were all in the east side. Luckily, Hsien Lian knew exactly where the library was. However, as Hsien Lian looked up, multiple guards had their daos pointed at them. Of course they wouldn't recognise Hsien Lian. "Xui." Hsien Lian stated calmly, his blue spirit uncoiling from his arm. Chun He smiled. "Let's go." He said, a slight skip in his step. Hsein Lian walked beside Chang Bo and XingYing, his eyes watching Chun He. "Any nostalgia?" XingYing asked, as Hsien Lian pointed to the lest corridor. "First door." Hsien Lian stated to Chun He before his eyes went to the ghost walking beside him.

"No… yes. I have been gone for a long period of time, of course nostalgia would be present. But the thought that no one remembers me, that feeling is stronger." Hsien Lian explained as Chun He walked into the library, the three others following behind closely. Hsien Lian held the blue crystal in his hand, walking into the library.

Red woods held up the many stacks of books. Historians, fantasy, religious, every book you could find in China was here. Hsien Lian walked to a certain part of the library. It was a side that he loved to read about. The gods. Chen Guo had forced him to read these in the past to learn about religion, but then. Hsien Lian began to do it on his own. Reading almost every book on the particular shelf.

"Hsien Lian?" XingYing asked, looking over at him. Hsien Lian turned, humming. XingYing held a large piece of paper in his hand. Hsien Lian jogged over, reading the paper.
