Chapter 60

Hsien Lian sat on the ground, Chen Guo in his lap. He only could heal , so that was what he was doing. Hsien Lian held his hand on Chen Guo's forehead, keepineople it there so he could heal the older god. Hsien Lian didn't know how long it would take, but it was obvious it would take a while. Ning Huo sat beside him, his eyes shut and his head leaning on Hsien Lian's shoulder.

"Did you really forget everything? I knew you forgot something, but I didn't think it was….. everything." Ning Huo mumbled. Hsien Lian sighed. "I don't know why I did it. I think Chao Ju was right though. I was probably running from something. But I don't know, and don't care, what that something was." Hsien Lian answered.

Chen Guo slowly shifted, his eyes fluttering open. Hsien Lian sighed a breath of relief. "Oh, thank god." Chen Guo looked around, before being suddenly worried. "Fang Hai? Where's Fang Hai?" He asked, getting up. Hsien Lian helped him, making sure the still weak god wouldn't fall. "He's outside with Tao Wu." Hsien Lian assured. Chen Guo sighed, nodding his head. When he turned around, his eyes widened when he saw Ning Huo. He grabbed his dao, pointing it directly at Ning Huo. However the Ghost King lowered his head, ashamed.

Hsien Lian stopped, shaking his head. "I think we all would have died if it wasn't for him." Hsien Lian said, lowering Chen Guo's dao. Chen Guo glanced at Hsien Lian, before back at Ning Huo. "You're alive? Were you XingYing?" Chen Guo asked, looking Ning Huo up and down hesitantly. Ning Huo nodded.

Chen Guo slowly lowered his dao, before dropping it to the ground. "I'm going to see where Fang Hai is." Chen Guo mumbled, walking to the door, disappearing on the other side. Ning Huo stood from his seat, rolling his back and sighing. "You did amazing." Ning Huo compliments. Hsien Lian smiled and shook his head. "I'm sorry. So sorry." Hsien Lian sihed, huggin Ning Huo tightly. "I shouldn't have pushed you of. I shouldn't have led you there. But everyone was looking at me and I couldn't-" Ning Huo lightly padded Hsien Lian's hair, silencing the god.

"It's ok, Hsien Lian. You did the right thing." Ning Huo softly whispered into his ear. Hsien Lian shook his head. "No, I didn't. I shouldn't have done that to you. I shouldn't have betrayed you like that. I am such a terrible friend." Hsien Lian whispered, his voice muffled. Ning Huo smiled, pushing Hsien Lian back so Ning Huo's red eyes could look into Hsien Lian's blue ones.

"If I didn't want you to push me off, then I wouldn't have let you."

Hsien Lian slowly nodded, somewhat understanding. "Still, I shouldn't have done that." He whispered softly. Ning Huo smiled, nodding, "Do you still have that lavender farm?" Hsien Lian asked hopefully. Ning Huo nodded. "China might be different, but I'm not." Hsien Lian hummed, smiling.

Two young men walked into the temple, one of them squealing when he saw Hsien Lian.. Hsien Lian didn't recognise either of them, but both men seemed to recognise Hsien Lian. "Flower Boy!" The man yelled, running up to Hsien Lian and practically tackling him. Hsien Lian's eyes went wide, but he quickly hugged the random boy.

The other one sighed, rolling his eyes, before walking over. They both had hanfu, the one hugging him had a pink and white one with constellations. His light brown hair was tightly wrapped into the bun. The other man had a fan that hid more of his face. His was dark purple, the stars embroidered on.

"Um, hi.." Hsien Lian whispered. He felt bad for not knowing their names. Were they his nobles? WHy would nobles be here for him though? Hsien Lian looked at Ning Huo for help, but he only shrugged. THe man finally let go, brushing off his hanfu before smiling. He looked between Ning Huo and Hsien lian with a wide grin. "I always knew you two would be good for each other." He smiled, placing a hand over his heart. He leaned slightly on the other.

Hsien Lian's eyes widened. He didn't even know these people. "Do I know you?" He asked. It wasn't harsh, but instead a question. The pink one gasped, covering his face. "You don't remember the people that saved you from the womb?" The man asked. Hsien Lian only stared at him, even more confused. He barely remembered his parents, but these people in front of him weren't them.

The young man with the fan hit the other on the head, causing the pink one to wince. "I'm Ming Ying. That's Wei Shu. The celestials? Remember now?" He asked, crossing his arms. Hsien Lian's eyes widened. Hsien Lian could see it. Wei Shu in pink, Ming Ying in purple. But they were. "You're men, though.." Ghost's can shape shift, slightly. But any human born entity will need to stay in certain bounds.

Then again, Celestials weren't humans. Never was.

"Yeah, and? Women can't be men now? Is that what you're saying?!" Wei Shu teased. Hsien Lian quickly shook his head, waving his hands around as well. "N-no! Of course not! I just-" Ning Huo shook his head, rolling his eyes. "He meant that you two look different. Wasn't an insult." Ning Huo defended. Ming Ying looked up at him, shaking his head. "Ghost KIng. I've heard many bad things about you. Including your name."

Ning Huo sighed, nodding. "I tend to get a bad rep from many different people." Ning Huo sighed. Min Ying smiles softly. He places a hand onto Ning Huo's shoulder. "But I watched you, and you are one of the kindest people I have learned to know." Ming Ying smiles. Ning Huo's eyes widened. He froze, staring at Ming Ying, not expecting such words to come out of her mouth. "I'm sorry, what?" He mumbled.

Ming Ying laughed, shaking his head. "You probably don't get stuff like that often, do you? Honestly, you are one of the most genuine and nicest people I've ever met." He repeats. Ning Huo slowly nods. "Thank you." He mumbled. Hsien Lian laughed quietly, but kept it mostly to himself. Wei Shu slimed, wrapping an arm around Hsien lain's shoulder.

"Hsien Lian, I have watched for longer than you have known. I have watched you try to save everyone. Try to help everyone. The generosity in your heart, the love in your soul, it's incredible. THough you are faced with hardships, you stay strong until you can't anymore." Wei Shu said, his voice serious. Hsien Lian nodded quietly, and listened to her. "So I want to ask you something, that you have to take very seriously. I understand if you don't want to take on this position, since it's of high standard, but you deserve it the most.

"Do you want to be the Prince Of The Gods?"
