8. Killer Courier

Robin swallowed his saliva, his heart beating fast. He was so worried about the man behind the door. Especially seeing Emily holding a gun.

"Who?" Emily asked, trying to be sure.

"Delivered food," someone shouted from outside making Emily glance at the two men in front of him.

The two of them shook their heads, indicating that they didn't order anything when they came here. Using a signal Emily told the two people to come into the room, so he could take care of the man who was outside alone.

"Oh, delivery food," Emily exclaimed as he opened the door and hid the gun behind him.

A man wearing courier clothes from a restaurant is seen holding a box made of steel is, his smile is warm when Emily opens the door.

"Who ordered it?" Emily asked.

"Someone called and asked me to deliver this food," he answered as he opened the stainless steel box but what was taken was not food but weapons.

Emily, who had been alert, immediately kicked the box, making it float and causing noise to be heard into the room. The man became flustered when Emily kicked his hand, he didn't expect to meet someone more skilled than him.

Emily took the weapon that was in the box and pulled the trigger.

"Who ordered you?" asked Emily pointing two guns at the fake courier. One weapon belongs to him, and the other weapon belongs to the courier.

There was no fear on Emily's face when he faced a man who dared to pretend to enter his house. Annoyance ran through his body at the memory of how dare they send an assassin to his house. He was cursing the man who was in the room, after meeting the man his life felt unlucky.

Not an answer came to Emily but a slash through his arm. The man had a knife hidden in his shirt pocket. Resistance was carried out by the man, trying to hit Emily who chose to serve the man without a weapon.

In the room Aaron was curious as to what was going on, he wanted to go out and have a look, but Robin prevented him due to a suggestion by Emily that they stay in the room until the girl ordered them to come out.

"W-we better stay here," suggested Robin.

"I wonder what happened—" Aaron's words were cut short as the sound of gunshots made them even more nervous.

"Maybe we should stay here, he'd better take care of it outside," Aaron confirmed.

Hands that have been tied, and a battered face made the man was curled up on the cold floor. It didn't take him long to overthrow the man even though he had several cuts to his face and arms.

Emily glanced up he had to give up the ceiling of his house with a hole to bully a fake courier who dared to visit his house without knowing who he was dealing with.

"Are you still not going to say who sent you?" Emily asked, looking at the man. "It seems that you are loyal to your client, okay, let me find out for myself who told you to come," Emily said, getting up from his seat trying to get closer to the man.

"What's going on out there?" a sound made Emily's footsteps stop. "Damn, I forgot they were here," he chuckled as he opened the bedroom door. "It's safe, only assassins," Emily explained about the current situation.

"P-hit assassin? W-what are you like?" Robin asked stammering, he couldn't believe that a hitman had come to die at a professional assassin's house.

"Don't equate me with him, I'm on a different level," Emily said with a nod of understanding Robin. "You can see him," Emily said sideways showing the helpless man.

Robin's eyes widened and his mouth opened to see what Emily had done to the man. How can a woman make a man's face battered?

"Come help me, and tie him to a chair," Emily called to Robin. Aaron's assistant followed as he was told to tie the fake courier to a chair.

"Cheap trick, being a food courier to kill. It's a big mistake to cheat on a professional," Emily said proudly as he took a bottle of cold drink from the refrigerator. He was so thirsty because of his fight with that man.

"Em, th-that…."

"What is that? You speak clearly, don't just th-that's it," protested Emily annoyed.

Fear spread throughout Robin's body when Emily protested about him, especially since the profession of his boss's future wife was different from women in general.

"That your face is bleeding."

"Oh," Emily responded casually as he took another sip of the drink.

Seeing Aaron who was staring at the fake courier made Emily frown.

"Why are you staring at him? Can you see?" Emily's rebuke made Aaron avert his eyes.

"Is he in front of me?" said Aaron.

"Well, you see it all the time, so I thought you could see it."

"You know who ordered it?" Robin asked trying to change the topic of their conversation.

The girl was also curious, about who sent the killer to her place and how dare that person do it. Emily crouched down to look at the man in front of him, the man was unconscious.

Plaque! Plaque! Plaque!

The sound of slapping several times woke him up. The beautiful face turned cold and cruel, there was no pity on that face.

"He didn't want to say it earlier," Emily exclaimed. "This place wasn't safe in the past, but not after you came," Emily said, glaring scornfully at the two men behind him.

"Hey, wake up," Emily ordered causing the fake courier to wake up and was surprised to find his body bound.

"Quickly tell me who ordered you."

Emily waited a few moments for an answer but he didn't get it, the man was so giddy that he didn't want to say who ordered him, so Emily immediately took his weapon and fired a bullet in the man's head.

One pull of the trigger, able to make the bullet lodged right in the man's forehead. Blood seemed to start dripping, Robin's handsome face turned pale passive his body stiffened instantly for the first time he saw a murder.

Emily glanced at the man behind him. "Ah, sorry. I don't like small talk, so yeah, I killed him," as if he didn't feel guilty about what he had just done.

Robin immediately went to the bathroom because he couldn't stand what had just happened, something disturbing made him want to get it out immediately. Just as the handsome man had left, a telephone rang from the dead man's trouser pocket.

"Hmm. This is the mastermind," said Emily, showing the screen of the cellphone that said the client on it.

The girl deliberately did not pick up the ringing of the phone, she wanted the man who was calling to be angry.

"Why don't you pick it up, quickly pick it up," Aaron shouted.

Emily did not follow what he was told, he chose to remain silent until the third call was picked up.

"What are you doing? Why didn't you pick up my phone?! Huh?" an emotional man on the other end of the phone made Emily frown. "How? Did you kill that bastard Aaron?"

A voice predominated when Emily had just picked up the call, letting them know who the real target was. He could see Aaron's face turned cold with emotion clearly defined.

They wanted so badly to kill the tycoon that they ordered another killer.

"Sir …." Called Robin quietly but got no response at all.

"Why don't you answer, have you cleaned up the blind man?" the man on the other end sounded annoyed at not getting an answer.

Emily turned off the phone and then made a video call, suddenly making the man across from the video widen in shock when he saw his order die, he immediately turned off the video call.

"Seems like you have too many enemies that they want you dead," Emily said, smiling sarcastically at Aaron.
