Adrian is a genius in football and academics. This made Martin hates him. Martin had been the best footballer before Adrian won scholarship to the college. When Adrian came, all the college attention shifted to him. The college started honouring him over Martin because he won a tournament for them after many years without a win. Mistakenly, Adrian injured Martin in a build up training, preventing him from playing in another tournament final. Martin became so angry and threatened to revenge. Eventually, fight ensured between them and Adrian beat him. This made Martin to hate him more. So, he pretended as a repented friend of Adrian so he could harm him badly without him suspecting.

Friend of Foe

"What are we here for?’’ Taj asked when they have reached a safe distant from the two other boys.. 


"I’m highly disappointed in you,’’ Martin talked silently, almost in whispers as if Adrian and Richard could hear them in the bubbling club, polluted with lots of noise. "See, I want this two sheep to become drunk and sleep off here while we scamper back to the college. Look at you now, getting drunk but tutoring Richard how not to get drunk.’’ 


"Oh, I’m sorry, I forgot the plot,’’ Taj said, clasping his palms towards Martin as if praying to him. "But…but I’m not drunk at all. I know what I’m doing. Don’t worry, leave Adrian for me. I’ll get him drunk the way you succeeded in making Richard drunk." 


The boys started walking back to meet Adrian and Richard. Richard has finished one bottle of the beer already. He and Adrian where discussing in the absent of the other two boys.
