Never thought I will see this place, it looks the same with our world, just that's it feel different, the air here is pure and rich. I thought to myself taking In the view before me.

"You haven't got half of what it felt to be amazing, wait till you can make it down here with you true body."

"What, I can come here with my truly body?"

"Of course. But for now you are too weak. Coming here will spell death for you"

"Death? I thought been the possessor give the privileges to come here, why does it sound so dangerous all of a sudden"

Seeing the dark expression of Davis he knew he had understood what he was trying to pass to him.

"This world is fully open to possessor but the fiend between our two race still exists, everyone before you had to proved themselves to a dragon they want to contract with, if it went well great, if it goes south so be it. Throughout the history of possessor, the highest count of dragon one has manage to contract is three. He was one hell of a Lucky guy. Your predecessor Adam got two, he was going for his third, that brought his end, his spirit root was damaged, he was lucky, somewhere killed instantly, the egg finds a new possessor, the process continued.

Drawing in cold breath, Davis felt fear ran all over him, this sure is not as easy as he thought.

"If its this enigmatic why go through the danger? Is one going to die if he or she don't contract a dragon?"

"You didn't answer my question, secondly I wasn't scared, am no coward. I could control any mana that's why, anytime I draw mana in it seemly disappear"

"That's why you need to contract a dragon, you see can sense and control more than one element, the process need high talent, time-consuming and deep comprehension. It gives great advantage to it user, but the disadvantage is huge, they don't climb high, somewhere along the line they get stuck and that ead the end of it. The only condition is you have to contract the dragon that had that element you want to use. Contracting a dragon comes with few things. Affinity with that element, knowledge of the element to help your comprehension, a companion and so on. Without that you can't cultivate, that was the reason every mana intake disappears"

"I see, why don't you contract with me then, we already help me once, you can always break off the contract if the oh mighty fire dragon still feels a not worthy" pushing my luck I wasn't sure it will heed any result but it worth taking the shot, I shower praises on him

kanlaon drew a drop of his blood and fling it my way, immediately the blood contacted my body my voice gave out a ring back tune, it as if I was on fire, my pineal gland being stab by thousands needle, my feet gave up on my allowing me embrace the solid ground, I couldn't even feel the discomfort of the fall, instead I was practicing hard ground swimming. Turning and twisting like my life depends on it. In a matter of minutes I regain myself as the pain had receded.

"You sure handle it well, hahaha, you didn't tell me you are a good soloist, you almost gave me ear ache, remind me next time you want to go on a song rampage"

I could find any world to refute him and I didn't bother myself trying to refute either, I am like a baked bread just brought out of the oven.

I embrace and bath in this feeling, not to long we descended down in a mountain, laying on the top of the mountain is another dragon which didn't pale in comparison to kanlaon with some distinct features like green marking instead of red stripe on kanlaon, looking feminine.

"What brought you here kanlaon and why bring a human to my layer, are you insane?"

"Calm down Lifa, he is with me, I calm to ask for your help"

"What does the great kanlaon want with lowly one like me, are the elected ones not there to help why come to me?"

"You also had become an elected too, you don't have to put what I did In the past to heart, we are besties I recall, can't I ask my bestie for help?"

"Are referring to who you abandoned, roaming the place with other elect, spearing no time at all?"

As soon as the last word left her mouth, kanlaon was sent flying from the mountain, before he could steady himself, Lifa was upon him again, both had a little battle, all I could do was watch from a safe distance. When both had their heart fill they came back to the mountain, kanlaon though was bleeding from different injury he sustained but Lifa look good as she was before the battle, I was confused because I remember seeing kanlaon burning her with flame and bite sometimes, but there was not even a scar left on her. I didn't have to wonder too long as kanlaon complained gave the answer.

"Do you have to go this far, you ruin my pretty body, you could have been a little gentler, I know I did wrong, but this goes too far, if not for that annoying ability of yours you won't stand a chance against me"

"That annoying ability of mine made me beat you, get used to it" Lifa bark back at kanlaon, ready to lash out again.

"You didn't beat me, you..., forget about it, you win"

"Good you know when to step down, so what brought you here? Lifa temperament calmed down, her voice soothing to hear. I have to give it to her, she had perfect control of her moods, reminding myself never to get on her bad side.

" Lifa I need you to help the new possessor, form a contract with him'

"Why should I, you don't expect me to form contract with him just because he is the possessor, he should be lucky he came with you, or he would have been on his way to the afterlife.

(Gulp). I took few steps towards kanlaon, the air around her had changed again, I don't want to be shown the door to the afterlife.

"Trust me on this one Lifa, he is different. I vouch for him. Form a contract with him, give time, if he still didn't meet your expectations you can break your contract with him"

"You know what annulling a contract meant right, you can't speak for him on this, it's his life you are pledging here?"

"I do, he agrees with my decision too"

"Fine I will because of you, the moment I find him unworthy he is done for"

Like kanlaon she drew blood also, asking to step forward to accept it, if I agree with kanlaon words, I did so while preparing mentally for the pain to come, but it never did, instead my body was filled with vigour and vitality, a little pinching pain in my pineal gland. The feeling was alluring. If giving chance I would want to bask in it not stop.
