chapter11 Trevor Yang
"one sheep.... two sheep.... three sheep... four sheep..ugh this is impossible"
two days has gone since grace was rushed to the hospital and she felt like she would die of boredom. she wasn't allowed to use her phone or laptop because of her concussion and all she did was sleep till she was sick of sleeping or more accurately, sleep were sick of her
it was 11 o'clock in the morning, there was nothing for her to do but sleep and she couldn't because she just woke up
*knock, knock*
'who could that be?'
there was a short list of people that visits her, her father already visited two days ago to make sure she was okay and she doubt he would visit again, Anna said she would visit in the evening and her assistant already visited yesterday
it is a very short list
' or maybe it's Lucas, he must have heard about the accident and came to visit me' grace thought. her brain flying high in the clouds
*knock, knock*
she knew that the probability of Lucas visiting her was almost -1 and too good to be true but you didn't stop her from enthusiastically chirping "come in"
the guy that entered graces hospital room was incredibly handsome but he was not Lucas Lin, he even had a cast on his left arm and bandages on his head
'most be a patient that got lost' grace sighed in disappointment and waited for the man to speak but he seem to be in a daze of his own
"what?" grace snapped sounding a tad harsher than she intended, who was she kidding, the guy was staring at her weirdly
'creep'
"uhm...hi, let me go straight to point. it was my car that caused your accident and I'm here to apologise" the guy explained
" and it took you two days for you to stop by" grace taunted
"am sorry, I was actually confined to bed rest for the past two days"
"for an arm injury?" Grace scoffed
"no...for a concussion" he said pointing to his head that was bandaged
"same here... so whatever"
" so am i forgiven? I'll pay for the hospital bills"
" like I said whatever" grace said nonchalantly
'' my name is Trevor, Trevor Yang" the man said
"so?" grace questioned half expecting him to get offended and leave
"what's yours?" grace eyed the good looking Mr Trevor head to toe. he was tall, over 6fts, thick black hair and a beautiful face, he looked 'name worthy'
"grace" the guy seemed to be expectantly waiting for last name "Grace Tang"
"Grace....." the guy said letting it roll of his tongue elegantly "suits you"
grace just grunted inaudible words, she was not in a chatty mood, she was feeling sleepy, yet she couldn't fall asleep, she was bored and grumpy 'I should have requested for the book'
" do you have a book I can borrow"
"yes, I have a couple of books in my ward" the guy said eagerly, he then rushed out of the room
about 10 minutes later the guy came back with a couple of books and handed them to her
"Rom- coms?, you read these?" grace asked raising her eyebrows
"they're my Aunty's, but even if it was,so what, can't I read a little romance" Trevor replied
"pardon me" grace raised her hand in mock surrender "you don't look like a romance type, heck you don't even look like the reading type"
"judging me by my looks, ouch! my poor feelings" Trevor joked
"do you read as a recreational activity though?"
"sadly, no, I couldn't read to save my life and both of my siblings are teachers"
"yikes"
and before you know it there were both chatting and joking like old friends
"mom said I should give you this foo..." Anna paused "oh....hello?"
"hey Anna,...Anna, Trevor...Trevor,Anna" grace introduced
they both shared a handshake "Trevor.. huh" Anna said suggestively
"well, I should be taking my leave" Trevor announced standing up, he took one of the books he gave grace and wrote his phone number on it "call me ...you know, to return the books when you're done, nice meeting both of you" Trevor smiled and left
Grace waited for Anna to comments and read more into a meeting with Trevor and Anna did not disappoint what was that Anna said wiggling her eyebrows
"that was Trevor, let's just say he and car was the cause of the accident, he came to apologise"
" and you forgave him?" Anna asked
"yeah I guess" Grace shrugged. Anna looked like she just heard the most ridiculous thing ever
"what?" grace asked genuinely confused
"you,Grace, the same grace that still haven't forgiven me for breaking her trophy nine years ago was chatting with the guy that caused her accident" Anna sounded frustrated
" I'm pretty sure you broke my trophy intentionally besides he is a really nice guy"
Anna scoffed "nice?, when have you ever cared about to being nice"
"he is ...handsome?" grace said sounding more like a question
"you and I both know you don't really care about that"
Grace rolled her eyes " I don't know why I was chatting with my supposed arch nemesis, why are you here Anna? did you come to trouble me" she said dramatically
honestly, Anna was right, grace had never been good at making friends so it came as a surprise to Grace herself when she realised that she was chatting with an absolute stranger. she was just being her normal sassy self and Trevor replied with something equally sassy
"I came because mom wouldn't stop nagging me about bringing you food she prepared"
"why didn't she bring it herself" grace teased
"har..har..har. am glad I came or else you wouldn't tell me about Mr hogtie"
"I'm sure Ethan would love to hear your views on Mr hottie"
"shut up"
