chapter58 Drugged(2)

*** when Grace finally opened the door he saw something unexpected. something really unexpected.

" I'm finally free" Grace sang standing in her full glory not a single piece of clothing on her body.

he quickly covered his eyes in shock and when he opened it seconds later, Grace was gone and the door wide open.

'I'm so doomed' he sighed in despair. if any of her family members saw her like this, especially her little brother Mark, Mr Matthew will behead him.

"wiiiii!" Grace yelled as she ran down the hallway. so full of life, so cheerful, so drugged and so doomed.

for someone who only ever moves in confident strodes, Grace ran very fast; shouting and singing.

thankfully, no one has come to check what the commotion is about that means the entire family are downstairs having breakfast or something. so they played their little game of tag. but instead of little children, the game is being played by a fully grown naked woman and a tired man who hasn't slept in the past twenty -four hour.

when Grace ran down the stairs, his life flashed before his very eyes.

"I am so doomed" Lucas muttered under his breath.

when he reached the last step of the stairs, Grace was no where in sight but from the broken plates beside the frozen house help or Miss Ivory's hand covering Mark's eyes or the fact that Mr Matthew is approaching him with pure rage written on his face.

"I can explain.."

before he could offer any explanation, he was punched right in the jaw. hard.

for a man in his late fifties, the man sure knows how to punch.

"how dare you! I trusted you and left you alone with my daughter for less then an hour!" *another punch and another and another. both nose holes are now bleeding and his jaw is definitely broken. "and for some reason she just happens to get naked?!" more punches were thrown his way but he dodges them this time around before catching both of Mr Matthews hands.

"listen. just listen. Grace woke up thirty minutes ago, she was trying to take her clothes off but I wouldn't let her and when I tried to come and inform you that she's awake, she hugged me and wouldn't let me go"

"and how did all that end up with my daughter getting naked?!" Mr Matthew asked impatiently

"s -she said she wanted to used the bathroom, when she came out, all her clothes were gone" Lucas rushed.

just then, Anna rushed in with Ethan not far behind pushing their baby in a stroller.

"is Grace doing... okay? what is going on?" it obviously looks bad, he is still sternly holding both of her father's hands but he can't let go in fear of getting punched again.

"don't worry yourself about that" miss Ivory answered. "grab those sheets and follow me to the kitchen"

"good morning father" Ethan greeted formally. clearly weary of the elderly man. Mr Matthew nodded at him before picking up his grandchild and cooing at her as if he didn't almost dislocate someone's jaw seconds ago.

Anna and Miss Ivory reappeared with Grace who is wrapped in purple sheets and struggling to get out. he want to help hold his girlfriend but his girlfriend's dad shot him a glare that says 'take a step towards my daughter and I will punch you again' so he backed off to sit with Ethan in the living room.

"so.. what happened?" his best friend asked in an amused grin. he want on to narrate all that happened.

"thank goodness Grace is okay but running around naked is just... damn!"

"yeah" he agreed while rubbing his jaw.

"he really got you good didn't he?" Ethan asked referring to the punches he received.

"Mr Matthew misunderstood"

"cut the man some slack. his daughter was running around naked while a man was chasing after her" Ethan laughed but he didn't think it was funny at all "I remember when Anna and I were still dating at that time. I don't know what I did or said but Anna ran in here crying. Mr Tang didn't wait for an explanation, he beat me up until I couldn't feel my face"

"I remember that" Lucas laughed despite the pain in his jaw "your face was messed up for two whole weeks"

"but I'll do the same for my dau.."

"hello?" a petite middle age woman interrupted. "I'm here for Grace. my name is doctor Nan.."

"Dr Nancy, please come in. Grace is upstairs" Mr Matthew interrupted this time.

Mr Matthew showed the doctor to Grace's room and Lucas had to follow. while Ethan stay in the living room to watch over his daughter.

when they reached the room, Mr Matthew knocked on the door and make sure Grace has put on clothes.

"come in!" a voice yelled. Anna's voice.

Grace had clothes on and is hugging and is cuddling Miss Ivory tightly when everyone knows that Grace doesn't have the best relationship with her stepmother.

after half an hour of awkwardly standing under the glared of his future father in law and watching as the doctor asks questions, checking vitals and conduct other medicine magic stuffs;

"she just needs to rest. she'll be fine" the doctor announced "she was injected with some kind of aphrodisiacs drugs. not enough dosage to produce the expected results but enough for her brain to go into overdrive"

"nothing is wrong? nothing at all?" Grace's father asked worriedly.

"nothing at all" the doctor confirmed "what she needs is sleep and headache medicine soon after"

"thank you doctor"

Miss Ivory has gone to drop Mark off to school, Anna is busy with the good doctor and Grace is asleep. leaving Ethan and particularly Lucas under the assessing gaze of Mr Tang.

he didn't seem impressed.

"I.. urh. I should get going" and like a coward, Lucas practically ran away from the Tang's residence.
