The Griffin Daughters

Daphne had finished an entire plate to herself, and although Lucifer had finished eating much earlier, he watched her patiently. Eating under his stare was intense, but she did not know when she would have her next full meal, so she ate plenty.

After they had finished, he pulled out his bag, slowly placing two gold coins onto the table before standing up.

"Let's go," he said to her, and she quickly jumped up as well, following him out of the room. Outside, there was no one on the second floor and a lot of the guests on the first floor had also finished eating and left.

As they walked out, Daphne did not see the worker from earlier anywhere, and she prayed for him silently, feeling a little bad for him. He had caught the devil when he was in a bad mood.

They got onto the carriage again and began going to the next ville, which Daphne heard Lucifer say was called Keensville.

In the carriage, Lucifer's bad mood had completely disappeared, and he seemed to be in a pretty pleasant mood now. However, the two of them still did not speak much on the way to Keensville, and luckily, the ride did not take very long.

They arrived at another large manor, and all of the devil family's houses were enormous. In front of the manor, there was a fountain with a statue shooting water out of it, and to Daphne, it looked like a giant eagle.

"This is the Griffin family," Lucifer explained as the carriage came to a stop.

Griffin. . . Daphne looked at the statute through the window again, and realized that it was indeed a statue of a griffin. It turns out that the carriage did have two windows to the side, but it was covered.

Lucifer had pulled the covers down on the way here so he could see the "nice weather".

From the window, Daphne could see that up at the front door, there was a man and two young girls about her age standing there.

Lucifer got out of the carriage and she followed, quickly hiding under Lucifer's umbrella to avoid getting drenched. She was much more careful about where she stepped now.

The coachman drove the carriage away when they got off, and Daphne walked alongside Lucifer over to the front door. The old man smiled at them when he saw them, and he stepped forward to the edge of the door.

Both of the two girls had straight long blonde hair, and the both of them had beautiful green eyes. It was evident that they were fairies. One wore a blue dress, and she looked slightly older as she was taller. The other wore a light pink dress, and she had a frown on her face.

Lucifer stopped in front of the man and smiled in return, "Master Griffin!"

Foster Griffin beamed as he patted Lucifer on the back, "You must be here for the next Sevil meeting, right?"

Lucifer nodded and stepped aside, and as he did so, Foster Griffin's eyes landed on the girl standing behind him. He raised one eyebrow upon seeing that Lucifer was not alone, especially with a girl.

He chuckled slightly and gestured towards his two daughters, "Lucifer, you must have met my two girls before at previous parties."

Lucifer looked at the girls, who smiled at him, and was not hesitant to express his apathy, "Can't remember."

The younger girl's expression stiffened upon hearing this but the other girl wearing a blue dress did not seem to care much.

"Oh," Foster replied awkwardly, "Well. . ." He pointed at the girl in blue, "This is my older daughter, Abra."

He then looked at his younger daughter in pink, "And this is Anna, my second daughter. Greet young master Lucifer, girls."

Abra smiled softly, "Mr. Lucifer."

The other girl, Anna, beamed as she pushed a strand of hair to the back, "Good afternoon, Mr. Lucifer."

Anna Griffin's eyes sparkled as she looked at Lucifer, who merely nodded and did not give any other response. However, that did not bother her.

Since she had first seen young Lucifer Black at a party five years back, she was captivated. She had met many upper class vampires and even a few devils before, but none caught her eye like him.

He was exactly what she liked, from his appearance to his attitude, which was slightly cocky, but that's what attracted her.

Abra, knowing about her sister's passionate love, patted her gently on the back to warn her to stop staring at the devil, and Anna reluctantly looked away.

"Lucifer, this is. . ." Foster looked at the girl wearing rags. Even so, she was breathtakingly beautiful and something about her seemed to catch one's eyes, even in this dark and gloomy weather.

Upon mentioning her, Anna and Abra also looked towards Daphne, and Anna immediately scrunched her nose together. Who was this ugly servant girl?! And why was she standing so close to young master Lucifer?!

Lucifer smiled, placing one hand onto Daphne's waist, whose eyes widened in surprise, "Not of your concern, Mr. Griffin. This is my. . ."

He paused and Daphne looked up at him, wondering what he was thinking of. Was he going to say girl or person again? Perhaps maid?

"Darling," Lucifer completed his sentence with a grim smile, pleased with the new word he had found to describe his baby girl.

Daphne's mouth fell open, and she had to resist the urge to slap him in the face right there and then. Luckily, she was stopped from doing so when the next second, Anna turned around and walked into the house without looking back, her pace quick and her fists angrily clenched together as she went.

Daphne saw her disappear from the corner of her eye, and her sixth sense told her that the young girl, Anna Griffin, probably had some more "complicated" feelings for Lucifer Black.

"Anna!" Foster called, his eyebrows knitting together as he quickly turned to Lucifer, "I'm sorry, Lucifer. She must not be feeling well. Let's go in, it's quite cold out here."

Lucifer nodded, letting go of Daphne as he walked into the house with Foster Griffin.

Behind them, Daphne walked slightly behind Abra, who tilted her head slightly and asked, "What is your name?"

Her voice was soft and delicate, making Daphne feel more comfortable, "Daphne."

She smiled, "Nice to meet you, Daphne."

Then, she looked straight ahead and walked into the living room behind her father.
