His Plan

After doing my morning routine, I made my way out of

my room only to notice the couple sitting on the dining table. A

sweet smile crept into my face as I noticed their coffee mugs

across the table.

"Good morning," we all greeted in unison. I approached

them gently towards the area, only to hear Miranda speak.

"Come and have a seat. I thought you were still sleeping

so we already started eating," she added before giving me a

plate.

"Thank you," I replied. "After eating, I was planning on

going to the city," I mentioned.

"Why?" Alfred asked. He took a sip on his coffee and

eyed me with a confused look in his face.

"I was planning to buy some school supplies and also

check for my scholarship from the government," I answered.

"I see." Alfred nodded. "We can accompany you if you'd

like," he added, looking spontaneously.

"I'm grateful for your kindness but I'm still going to my

parent's tombstone. It will be a long day for me, I have a lot of

plans I want to do in the city," I responded.

Honestly, I wasn't really planning on going to the

graveyard; I just wanted to be alone. I want to pamper myself

and spend my limited life wherever I want instead of just staying

at home.

A thought crossed my head. Should I just date myself

into movies or something? That would be great.

Upon finishing our breakfast altogether, we heard a

knock coming from the door. Alfred stood up from his seat and

checked who it was while we sat there, looking dumbfounded.

A few minutes passed by, a man wearing a black suit

entered our apartment and brought down a box in the living

room.

We were confused and baffled in our places that we

immediately stood up and went towards the area.

"What is that?" Miranda asked the man.

"It's school supplies for our Señorita Emmie," the man

replied to which I almost choked on my own saliva. My friend

patted my back gently.

"Excuse me, who sent this staff for me?" I asked

between my coughing.

"My apologies senorita, it's highly confidential. But don't

worry in the future you will meet and know the person behind

this," the man reassured.

My forehead creased for a moment. I was left confused

and somewhat distraught. Who would even give her school

supplies for free?

Her thoughts lingered towards the northern region until

she remembered something. There was only one person who

kept on calling her 'Senorita'.

A bitter smile crept into her face. Is it the same person

who sent her a friend request on Facebook?

When the man excused himself to leave, I thanked and

let him pass by.

When I opened the box and checked the content, it was

indeed school supplies. I guess this will help me save a lot of

money since I already have what I need.

My plans changed a little. I went out later at lunch and

made my way towards the government for my scholarship

verification and then went straight to the mall. It was just a

passing day and I was enjoying myself alone when I felt a person

pat me on the shoulder.

Startled by the sudden gesture of a stranger when I

turned around to look at him; my brows immediately furrowed.

I didn't bother to contact Oddette the whole time because

I didn't want to hear about her brother but now? What a weird

and unforeseen coincidence.

I rolled my eyes in my head.

"Where are you looking at? Are you checking if I have

someone by my side or are you... expecting her to be with me?"

he asked with a smirk on his face.

What an insult to dogs like him.
