Chapter 4

The next morning, Adams decided to go to Xander, his most treasured hacker. As soon as he stood in front of Xander's room's door, Xander opened the door in a hurry. He bumped his head hard with Adams.

" Ouch! " Xander yelped out of pain while Adams was busy rubbing his forehead silently which was paining a little bit.

When Xander realized it was Adams, he felt so regretful.

" Adams I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to bump into you. Actually I was careless. I'm so sorry!"

Xander kept on apologizing to Adams, until he ruffled Xander's hair.

" Hey, calm down. It's not a big deal." Adams tried to lighten him up.

" I was about to go to you now, Adams. "

Adams chuckled and said, " Well I'm here infront of you. Wilt thou let me enter thine humble shrine?"

Both of them laughed at Adams's humor.

" Please enter into my room your Highness." Xander said jokingly. " I have something important to tell you. "

" Well, is it about Sarah?"

" Yes", Xander replied.

" Say it already. I can't wait anymore. " Adams was beyond patience.

" We have located Nico, visiting Sarah and Kai into a small cottage. Now we have their address too."

" I think we should wait."

" But why Adams?"

" We need to make a full proof plan so that, this time Sarah can't escape from me. I regretted texting her at the first place. I could have silently kidnapped her. " Adams said, getting disappointed with himself.

" Now we need to wait for the right moment to take her." Adams said after releasing a long breath.

" This is why I see you as my inspiration, Adams." Xander said, making an adorable face.

It is true that Xander sees Adams as his idol, although it is Xander who is the most intelligent man among all the gang members.

" Did you find out their exact location Xander?"

" Yes. It is in...."

After 6 months since the attack, Sarah and Kai settled there and started living happily with each other. Nico came on a weekly basis to visit them. They thought that they are untraceable and completely safe.

But, whether it was Nico's intuition or not, he was always paranoid that someone was following him wherever he went. Fearing of getting caught by Adams, he went to his leader for advice, for whom he worked as an assistant, as well as being a close friend.

" Roger I think I have a problem. I need your help."

Roger is the leader of the gang in which Nico is his right-hand.

" What is it Nico? Why do you look so pale?" Roger asked him, getting a little bit worried.

" Do you know Adams?"

" Yes I do. He is our rival." Roger replied, coldly.

" He is after my brother's girlfriend. She is like my sister too. I don't want anything to happen to her."

Nico entwined his hand with Roger's hand and pleaded, " You are my only hope Roger. Please tell me what can I do next."

" I wouldn't force you to do anything, but I can suggest you to do it." Roger said slowly.

" What is it?" Nico asked him.

" Marry her off to your brother as soon as possible. In that way, I can give protection to her as well."

Nico hesitated for a little while and said, " Okay I'll let you know if both of them agrees to get married. I'll take my leave if I'm not needed now."

" Okay Nico. Thank you for visiting me."

Both of them shared a tight hug and parted on their own path.

Nico was on his way to Sarah's cottage. When he reached there, he saw the door was unlocked.

' Where are they? Usually they don't keep their doors unlocked', Nico thought.

He started getting paranoid that someone might have intruded inside their cottage. He started worrying.

Slowly, he opened the main door and entered the living room. He saw a neatly decorated table nearby without any trace of someone intruding inside.

He tiptoed on the floor and climbed up the stairs to Sarah's bedroom. When he reached there, he saw that the door was closed, yet unlocked.

Suddenly, he pushed open the door with full force and entered inside the room with a gun in his hand.

To his surprise, he saw Kai and Sarah looking at him scared. They were kissing each other just a few moments ago.

" What the heck?!" Kai screamed out of shock, while Sarah hid behind Kai and mumbled, " oh lord save me" , infinite times.

" Why did you scare us like this?" Kai was still in shock.

Nico was visibly embarrassed.

" I'm so sorry. I didn't want to scare both of you. I saw the main door was unlocked, so I thought someone might have intruded inside. "

Sarah glared at Kai and said," You're careless once again Kai. If you repeat this one more time, no kisses and cuddles for you for an entire week."

" Babe I'm sorry. Don't be so harsh on me." Kai said, making puppy eyes.

" Okay okay, stop making that face." Sarah ruffled his hair and smiled.

" Okay you lovey-dovey couple, I have something important to discuss with both of you. " Nico said and chuckled.

" What is it Nico?" Sarah asked him.

" Will you marry each other?"

Both of them looked at Nico, unable to believe their ears.

" But isn't it too fast bro?" Kai asked, getting surprised.

" You love her, right?"

" Yeah I do." Kai said sincerely.

" Both of you are earning well. Also I might be able to give both of you protection if you guys get married as soon as possible."

Both of them stared at Nico with a strange expression.

" What protection are you talking about?" Kai asked him.

" Hmm... let's say, my colleagues are going to help me."

Nico tried to clarify doubts without letting Kai and Sarah know much about his involvement with gangs.

" How about both of you get married in a few days?"

Sarah and Kai felt pressurized but they had no other option left as well.

" Okay. If that's the case, then let me ask my dad even if he doesn't care about what I do." Sarah said.

She called her father.

" What is it?" Mr. Anderson asked coldly.

" I want to marry Kai. Will you accept us dad?" Sarah asked nervously.

" Do whatever you want, but don't do anything which will harm my reputation."

Her father ended the call.

" Why out of 7 billion people he had to be my father?" Sarah muttered under her breath.

" He doesn't care, does he?" Kai said to Sarah.

" Is he your chill type of dad?" Nico asked, curious about the matter.

" He doesn't see me as his child. He sees me as his disposable property." Sarah stated with a little bit of anger and sadness in her tone.

As the saying goes, 'Money cannot buy love and happiness', Sarah was always ignored by her father. Her father is so blinded by the greed for money, he stopped caring for his only child.

" If marrying you keeps us safe, then I'll gladly marry you Kai."

Sarah planted a soft kiss on Kai's lips and smiled.
