Same Old… I 31A

It was past five when Sawyer woke from his short nap and directed his eyes towards his window. The orange light of the sky telling him it was dusk and full darkness was soon to blanket the sky. He got up. Despite his door being closed, he could hear the silence of the house. He walked to his door and opened it, given the proof he needed of the silence and strangely for no reason, reminded that his dads will be arriving soon.

With no real reason, instead of going anywhere else, he turned and made his way down the hall to Raina’s room. He knocked. Expecting permission that never came, then he opened the door silently. Only then did it occur to him as he pushed the door open, that she could be asleep. Instead, soft old music hit him and disrupted the house’s silence. Still he peaked in, even though she could be playing music while she slept; and he was more than surprised by the fact that he was wrong.
