The Suffering… I 36B

After a day of planning and working and making phone calls, Steph sat down to dinner with a heavy sigh of relief, glad the next few hours and the day ahead will be dedicated to resting. And after many hours worrying about Peggy, which didn’t end when Peggy ended up on her bed, she was ready for peace. Tanner took his seat by her left and five minutes later, Peggy joined them. “Hi.” Steph greeted, assessing her daughter’s downcast heavy eyes that seemed to be carrying sadness.

“Hi” Peggy greeted back lifelessly, standing by her chair, she reached over, took her glass and a jug of water and proceeded to pour.

“Did you have fun with your friends?” Tests can’t make Peggy look this way. “You look tired.”

“It was fine.”

Even her tone was… dull. “You know,” Steph said in a ‘fun fact’ tone. “I wanted us to eat out tonight, but since you failed your tests, I gave up the reservation.”
