And Now… I 39C

Steph was more than surprised upon her return that night to find that Peggy’s room door was ajar. It hadn’t been left this way in weeks. Wondering what she would see if she checked, she made her way to the attic, knocked on the open door and stepped in. Peggy was standing in front of her easel, staring at her new progressing painting until she heard the knock and she looked back at the door. Steph was a bit startled to find her looking at her. “Hey. “I just need to clear my mind first.” And her mind was clogged. The welcoming party of Trip’s begging and his undenied silent admissions joining the others. It’s enough to make her groan in tired frustrations, needing to get away but alas, she can’t do that.

“Okay.” Peggy looked gloomy as ever. “Did you enjoy your stay with Aida and Jenny? Anything new?”
